X&O Studio Proprietary License
Version 1.0 — release 0.5, 2026
1. Scope and ownership
This license applies only to original code and assets for which X&O Studio
holds the necessary rights in BattleRoyaleReady, BRLootCore and MatterArtifacts.
Original authors and third parties retain their rights. This document does not
relicense third-party components or revoke rights already granted under an
earlier license, including MIT. Component-specific notices and licenses prevail
for those components.
2. Permitted use
You may install and use lawfully obtained, unmodified official releases for
ordinary gameplay and operation of Minecraft servers. You may make private
backup copies and change exposed configuration and user-created content through
supported interfaces. No ownership of Minecraft or third-party content is granted.
Minecraft's own terms and applicable third-party licenses still apply.
3. Modification and redistribution
Except where applicable law or a component's own license expressly permits it,
modifying, adapting, republishing, redistributing, sublicensing or selling
X&O Studio's proprietary code or assets requires prior written authorization.
This restriction applies regardless of the tools used, including AI-assisted
tools. It does not restrict X&O Studio's own development or work performed with
its authorization. Nothing prohibits interoperability, reverse engineering or
other acts to the extent such rights cannot lawfully be excluded. In particular,
the rights needed to modify, replace, relink and debug modifications to LGPL
components remain available under their own licenses.
4. Beta and internal builds
A BETA build is supplied only to authorized testers; public redistribution of
the beta build requires X&O Studio's prior written permission. An INTERNAL
build is for authorized development. Neither designation grants administrative
permissions in the game or on any server. This license is not DRM and does not
require an external authorization service.
5. Notices
Retain applicable copyright, license and third-party notices. Any encoded
Base64 or hexadecimal notice is only a readable attribution marker, not
encryption or a technical restriction on editing.
6. Warranty and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the software is provided "as is",
without warranty. The relevant rightsholders are not liable for loss or damage
arising from its use except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Mandatory consumer rights and other non-waivable rights are unaffected.
This project is not affiliated with or endorsed by Mojang or Microsoft.
MatterArtifacts imported baseline
================================
The authoritative matterartifacts-0.3.12-beta.jar baseline identifies its
license as MIT and its authors as "MatterArtifacts contributors" in
META-INF/mods.toml. Those pre-existing components retain their MIT rights;
the X&O Studio license does not replace or restrict those rights.
The supplied baseline contains no separate copyright/license file. The
attribution above preserves the author information actually supplied with
it; no additional copyright holder or year is asserted here.
