Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Maps and Quills 0.1.1 for Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge)
Requires Easy Factions (Holdfast Factions). Update both the server and every client: this version cannot join a 0.1.0 server, or the other way round.
The minimap (thanks to ArminRG for asking)
- Everything drawn on the map now shows on the minimap too: lines, arrows, boxes, circles, freehand and text, with their labels.
- New "Minimap drawings" switch in the map's legend, for anyone who wants only the places in the corner.
- New "Minimap" switch in the legend to hide or show the minimap without opening a config file.
- Three new keys in the controls, unbound by default: minimap on and off, zoom the minimap in, zoom it out. Zooming tells you how many blocks across the minimap now shows.
- New installs start with the minimap zoomed out further, and it can now zoom out twice as far as before.
Fixes
- The Nether is mapped properly. It used to be drawn as its bedrock roof, one flat grey sheet; it now shows the ground you actually walk on, from soul sand valleys to the crimson and warped forests. Nether tiles already saved on your server are surveyed again automatically, the Overworld's are left alone.
- Looking at another dimension from the full map shows its ground. It showed the places but never the terrain.
- The full map keeps filling in while it is open, instead of stopping after the first few hundred chunks until you moved it.
- Flipping the map to the Nether with D lands you over the same place at the 8 to 1 scale, whichever way round the dimensions come.
- The D key always goes Overworld, Nether, End, in that order.
- A faction's seat now shows as a keep in the faction's colour. It used to show as a separate white square with a stray banner reading 0 next to it.
- A realm's name moves below its keep instead of printing over the top of it.
- The ping wheel names all four choices, not only the one you are pointing at, and waypoint labels no longer show through it.
- Chat hints now say /maq rather than /warpaint (both still work).
