Malum: Soul Infusion
Malum: Soul Infusion — An add-on for Malum that carries spirit arcana into the soul infusion.
The soul is not a resource. It is a residue — what remains when consciousness is fused, condensed, and offered to the Weeping Well. What returns is a **Soul Core**: a blank vessel waiting to be shaped.
The Soul Core
Fused Consciousness is not meant to be stable. Drop it into the Weeping Well and it collapses into something purer — a **Soul Core**, the foundation of every infusion to come.
No soul is born from nothing. Each one must be shaped.
The Souls
Eight souls, each a different facet of what a weapon can become:
- Sharpness Soul — the edge that never dulls. +1 Attack Damage per level.
- Fortitude Soul — the weight of stone. +2 Armor per level.
- Swiftness Soul — the wind beneath your feet. +5% Movement Speed per level.
- Vitality Soul — the pulse that refuses to stop. +2 Max Health per level.
- Fortune Soul — fate's quiet favor. +1 Luck per level.
- Resilience Soul — the refusal to be moved. +5% Knockback Resistance per level.
- Ferocity Soul — the strike before the thought. +8% Attack Speed per level.
- Reaping Soul — the arc of the scythe. +8% Scythe Proficiency per level.
Each soul is shaped at Malum's Spirit Altar: a Soul Core in the center, offerings on the pedestals.
The Soul Infusion Table
A new altar, built in Malum's dark tradition. Place your gear on one side, a soul on the other, and let the infusion take hold.
- Each item holds up to 3 different soul types.
- Each soul can reach level 3 (both configurable).
- Infusion is not instant — the table works in silence, one layer at a time.
Not every item can accept a soul. Only those with combat intent — weapons, armor, tools — will respond. The rest reject the offering.
Integration
Soul Infusion is built as an extension of Malum, not a separate system.
- Soul Core is obtained through Malum's Weeping Well.
- All souls are crafted at Malum's Spirit Altar.
- Recipes use Malum spirits: Wicked, Arcane, Earthen, Aerial, Sacred.
The mod is still in active development.
