What's new
v0.0.0-beta.40 - The Portal would not load
Fixed
- Chunks containing the Arcane Portal could never generate. The log died with
Feature placement→java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: No enum constant net.minecraft.world.level.block.state.properties.StructureMode.load, namingmajestic:arcane_portal. Twominecraft:structure_blockmarkers were sitting in the middle of the two missing voussoirs with"mode": "load"in their NBT. When a jigsaw piece is placed,SinglePoolElement.getDataMarkersfilters the template forBlocks.STRUCTURE_BLOCKand callsStructureMode.valueOfon themodetag of every hit — and vanilla writes that tag fromStructureMode.toString(), in upper case (LOAD,DATA).Enum.valueOfis case sensitive, so the lowercase tag threw and the structure's chunk failed. Only the blockstate property is lowercase ("Properties": {"mode": "load"}); the NBT tag is not. The two slots are now plainminecraft:airand the piece carries no block NBT at all. - The Portal could not have been finished anyway. A placed structure block is a
solid block, not air, and
PortalGaps.resolverequires the gap cell to be air. Those two gaps would have read as already filled, leaving 12 of the 14 cells placeable. Both slots are verified as open air across the full 7-deep ring now.
Under the hood
- The gap validator no longer accepts a
structure_blockplaceholder in any mode — it is a hard failure, with the reason written down. It used to treat aload-mode placeholder as an empty cell, which is what let the broken piece through in the first place. - The workshop no longer emits the markers at all; the gap offsets already live in
majestic_portal_gaps.json, which is where the game reads them from. The workshop's guide, the delivery note and both READMEs now say so, with the crash written down.
Alpha. Fixed from the user's in-game crash report. The two slots are still meant to be closed by hand with amajestic:carved_keystoneand 12majestic:arcane_brick; nothing about the Portal's geometry changed — the piece is byte-identical apart from the two marker cells.
