Act I — the guide reveals itself in order

• The Almanac now reveals Act I in strict order. Every chapter is hidden until the page that unlocks it is read, and the Act I section itself only appears once its first chapter does. You cannot reach Chapter II without having found Chapter I.
• The Prologue is no longer a chapter. It is now the Almanac's opening page: always there to read, never listed in the index.
• Chapter III changes its title once you know enough. After the lantern-bearer's page, the entry you have been reading is replaced by its locked counterpart, titled "III. The Sleeping Portal (Locked)" / "III. El Portal dormido (Bloqueado)" — the word is part of the book, not a placeholder — and 2.1 — The Search appears beside it.
• New pages: the Warden's Page, dropped by the Warden of the Gate and guaranteed to everyone in the fight, and the Lantern-Bearer's Page. Between them they open both new chapters.
• New illustrations: the sleeping portal, and the Watchers' vault.

Changed

• A journal page you arrive too late for now burns. If its chapter is already behind your progress, the page catches fire in your hand, the screen says so, and what is left behind is a minute of Residue of Ash hanging around you. It currently does nothing at all — that is deliberate, and it is there to be given a purpose later. The page is always consumed, creative included. A page for the chapter you are about to unlock still reads normally.
• Chapters I and II are no longer marked as read before you have read them.

Requires

• Expedition Core 0.0.0-beta.6 or newer. This version of Majestic calls a new library method, and now says so on start-up instead of failing later. The CurseForge launcher will pull it for you.

Still unverified in game. The altar's self-destruction and the new Almanac chain have been checked on a dedicated server and against the guide book's own rules, but nobody has played this yet. If the arena's explosion looks wrong, that is the place to look.
