Maid Always Follow

Maid Always Follow

Across distances and dimensions, your maid can find her way back to your side. Maid Always Follow is an unofficial addon for Touhou Little Maid, built for Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge. It keeps registered maids’ chunks loaded and automatically recalls following maids when their owner travels far away or enters another dimension.

Features

• Persistent chunk loading: Keeps registered maids’ chunks active, even while their owner is offline by default. Offline loading can be disabled in the configuration.

• Long-distance following: Automatically attempts to teleport following maids near their owner when they exceed the configured distance.

• Cross-dimensional recall: Brings maids across dimensions without requiring them to walk through a portal.

• Recovery from unloaded chunks: Uses saved locations from this addon and Touhou Little Maid’s unloaded-maid records to locate, reload, and recall missing companions.

• Data preservation: Retains the maid’s identity, owner, inventory, and status during teleportation.

• Respects maid behavior: Sitting maids and maids in home mode stay where they are. If no safe landing spot is available, recall waits and retries. By default, automatic recall checks run every 20 game ticks, with a distance threshold of 24 blocks. Both values are configurable.

Commands

• /maidfollow recall — Attempts to recall your following maids.

• /maidfollow status — Shows your registered maid count and automatic recall distance.

Requirements Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47.4.0 or a newer 47.x release, and Touhou Little Maid 1.5.3. Install locally for single-player, or on the server for multiplayer. If neither mod has a saved location for a maid, you must visit her location once to register her. Persistent chunk loading uses additional server resources and does not protect maids from damage. This is an unofficial addon and requires the original Touhou Little Maid mod.
