Mahjong

Mahjong is a Curios API mod that adds a full collection of mahjong-themed trinkets for Minecraft. Collect tiles, equip them and create powerful builds by matching different mahjong combinations.

This mod includes all standard mahjong suit tiles: Wan (Characters), Tong (Dots), Tiao (Bamboo), plus the directional tiles East, South, West and North. Mahjong tiles can spawn randomly inside all vanilla chests across your world, so explore dungeons and containers to gather your collection.

When mahjong trinkets are equipped in Curios slots, the mod automatically checks your equipped tiles: ✅ Suit Set Bonuses Collect all tiles from 1–9 Wan / 1–9 Tong / 1–9 Tiao to unlock powerful set effects

• Wan Complete Set: +50% Crit Chance, +150% Crit Damage
• Tong Complete Set: +100% Armor, +100% Max Health, +75% Armor Toughness, +85% Knockback Resistance
• Tiao Complete Set: Greatly increased mining speed and movement speed, grants Village Hero effect

✅ Pong & Kang Permanent Bonuses Meet Pong or Kang tile combinations to gain permanent damage and movement speed boosts. Higher levels grant stronger multipliers.

✅ Winning Hand System Match specific tile combinations to unlock mahjong winning hand perks, including Ping Hu, Dui Dui Hu, Hun Yi Se, Qing Yi Se, Xiao Qi Dui, Da San Yuan, Xiao Si Xi, Da Si Xi and Zi Yi Se. Each winning type provides unique stat bonuses.

✅ Custom Status Panel Press E to open your inventory. You will see a 1-Bamboo tile icon button at the top of the inventory screen. Click it to toggle the dedicated mahjong status panel. This panel hides all vanilla inventory slots, keeping only a vanilla-style border and clean background. It lists your active suit set, Pong/Kang level, all active winning hands and a preview of every stat bonus.

✅ Two new debuff effects

• Armor Break: Reduces armor and toughness, increases incoming physical damage
• Bone Erosion: Raises incoming damage from all sources. Both effects have original 16×16 pixel art icons and render properly on the status bar.

Notes: All bonuses use AttributeModifiers instead of continuous potion effects. All combination checks and stat calculations run server-side to ensure stability in multiplayer. This mod does NOT add playable mahjong table gameplay. The core loop is collecting mahjong trinkets and creating combat builds.
