Magic Orb and Spirit Pearl

Magic Orb and Spirit Pearl is an ultimate pet capture mod made by Miaomiao Jun. It adds two throwable capture orbs: the Spirit Pearl and Magic Orb, alongside a complete pet system. Captured mobs become your pets: they can follow you, stand guard, patrol, rest, fight monsters, collect drops, eat to restore health automatically, and swap equipment. With Curios installed, pets can also wear accessories.

The Two Orbs

• Spirit Pearl: Higher capture chance when the target has low health (5% ~ 100% health range)
• Magic Orb: Higher capture chance when the target is at full health; guaranteed capture at full health (100% ~ 5% health range)

Spirit Pearl: 8 Diamonds around 1 Iron Ingot in the center Magic Orb: 8 Magma Blocks around 1 Netherite Block in the center

Pet GUI

Sneak + Right-click the pet (or right-click its orb directly) to open the GUI. There are 5 tabs: Status / Settings / Stats / Accessories / Inventory

The Settings tab lets you adjust range for each behavior mode, aggressive attack range, follow teleport distance, and toggle item pickup.

Behavior Modes

• Guard: Stays in place. Attacks hostile mobs and returns to its post after combat.
• Patrol: Roams around its spawn point and attacks monsters it encounters.
• Follow: Teleports to you once it moves outside the set range.
• Rest: Remains stationary and takes no extra actions.

Pet Behaviors

• Picks up ground drops and stores them in its own inventory
• Automatically eats food from its inventory when damaged; health restored scales with the food's hunger value
• Automatically equips better armor or weapons when picked up
• Fights back when attacked and gains aggro on nearby hostile mobs
• Captured hostile mobs switch to your team and will not harm you or your other pets

Accessories & Relic Orb

When Curios is installed, pets get an accessory inventory (15 universal accessory slots). Accessory stats and special effects work normally. If your pet dies, all its items are stored inside its orb, which turns into a Relic Orb. Right-click the relic orb to recover all belongings.

Bestiary

Records all mobs you have captured. The hotkey can be changed under Settings → Controls → Magic Orb.
