Madgique's XRay

A Forge mod for Minecraft 1.12.2 that lets you see through blocks to find ores quickly, with a clean in-game UI to pick exactly what you want to see.

This is a maintained fork of Advanced XRay by MiKeY, focused on bug fixes and improvements for Minecraft 1.12.2.

Improvements over the original

• Accurate block tracking: each block state (variant/metadata) is handled individually, so what you add is exactly what gets highlighted
• Searchable list shows every exact block variant, clearly labeled (e.g. Marble [marbletype=raw])
• Enhanced rendering: optional translucent fill inside highlighted blocks and a dark outline border underneath the colored lines
• Hex colour input (#rrggbb, paste-friendly, selects all on click) alongside the RGB sliders, with a live colour preview
• Adjustable outline thickness

How To Use

Using XRay

• Press [Default] Backslash to toggle XRay on and off
• Press [Default] Z to open the in-game GUI

Adding Ores

• Open the GUI Editor pressing [Default] Z
• Select the method you'd like to use to add a block: either From hand, What you can see, or By searching a list
• Modify the Name, Color, and anything else you'd like to change
• Click add and Enable the Block

Editing Ores

• Right click on any item in the GUI and edit as needed
• Click save and the changes will be applied

Installation

1. Install Minecraft Forge 14.23.5.2860+ for Minecraft 1.12.2
2. Download the mod JAR from the releases page and place it in your mods folder

• Works with modded ores (tested with JEI, HWYLA, Astral Sorcery and Thermal Series)
