MAcrafter

Beginner developers can more easily create and edit content within the game.

Adding a crop to Mystical Agriculture used to be a chore. A crop isn't a single item — it's a whole set: the crop block, the essence, the seeds, plus their recipes on the Infusion Altar. Mystical Agriculture does expose an addon API, but using it means writing Java and shipping an addon mod, or hand-writing a pile of JSON, and then restarting the game to see any of it.

MACrafter moves all of that into an in-game screen. Type /macrafter and you get a three-page form that is almost entirely click-to-pick. Page one decides what the crop is: its tier, its look (ten textures, all reusing Mystical Agriculture's own blank assets), its name, three colours, and optionally a crux block. Page two decides where the seeds come from: the vanilla-style automatic recipe, a hand-built altar recipe with your own catalyst and pedestal materials, or no recipe at all. Page three decides what the essence is good for: an Infusion Altar recipe, the classic eight-essence crafting table ring, or nothing. Hit Save, and the buttons at the bottom hand you seeds and essence on the spot so you can go plant them.

The clever part is how it dodges Minecraft's "no new registry entries at runtime" rule. At startup the mod registers 64 empty slots, and what you edit in the GUI is really the contents of those slots — which is why renaming, recolouring, changing recipes or toggling a crop takes effect the moment you save, with no restart. Need more than 64, or want a custom id? Use a "standalone crop", at the cost of one restart to register it.

The rest of the details are handled too. A Chinese name becomes a proper id automatically ("钻石精华" → diamond_essence). Definitions live in the config folder, so they are global by nature: build a crop in one world and every other save can use it. On a server the server is authoritative and pushes changes to everyone, and by default only admins may edit. The mod does not touch Mystical Agriculture's code — it registers crops through the official addon API — so tiers, farmland, growth, the guide book and JEI all keep working, and you never have to draw a single texture.

Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge, requiring Mystical Agriculture 8.0.28+ and Cucumber 8.0.16+, installed on both client and server. The UI ships in Chinese and English, and the mod itself is MIT licensed.
