Lycanites Alpha Fix Patch 0.4.0 Release Notes

Summary

Version 0.4.0 fixes a client-side crash in Lycanites Mobs 0.0.9-alpha where a living entity tick could fail while Lycanites was reading ExtendedEntity data.

Changes

  • Added a client-side guard for broken Lycanites ExtendedEntity cache entries.
  • If Lycanites has a cache key for a living entity but the cached value is missing, the broken entry is removed.
  • Lycanites can then recreate the data through its normal path.
  • Updated the mod metadata and public documentation for the new fix.

What Does Not Change

This release does not intentionally change Lycanites Mobs entity AI, drops, equipment, stats, spawn rules, progression, or balance.
