The sun appears to move around the moon 1/8th the speed it does the overworld, corresponding with a full lunar cycle. You can even watch the light move across the overworld along with the sun's position in the sky!
You'll experience a short period of additional darkness around the start of the lunar day, corresponding with the sun's position behind the overworld!
While the sun dips below the horizon behind, the overworld is fully illuminated.
