Lumo, the Arcane-Tech Companion

A small floating automaton that lives on your shoulder, lights your way, warns you of danger, saves your life and maps your world.

What is Lumo?

Lumo is a cube-shaped companion half copper machinery, half ancient runes. It floats behind your shoulder without ever blocking your view or your clicks, and it talks to you with the color of its lens and its body language, never with chat spam.

• Calm (cyan): floating by your side.
• Curious (amber): scanning ores, flowers, animals and chests.
• Danger (red): a hostile mob is close, even behind you.
• Overloaded (flickering grey): a fuse burnt out and needs replacing.

It also has a personality: it greets you, chirps, wanders off to inspect things, gets bored, worried or happy, speaks short lines in holographic bubbles, dances when a jukebox plays and naps on your shoulder when you stand still.

Three tiers

Right click with the Copper Core to awaken Lumo, then use the Ether Matrix and the Seraph Heart to evolve it. Recharge it at the Runic Docking Station.

Sacrifice fuses

No artificial cooldowns: the life-saving abilities burn a physical fuse that you repair at a crafting table.

• Aegis Crystal: below 2.5 hearts, Lumo raises a 5 second dome that stops projectiles and pushes hostiles away. Repair: amethyst shard.
• Phase Fuse: on a lethal hit, a fall into the void or into lava, you are sent back to where you stood 5 seconds ago. Repair: ender pearl.
• Discharge Coil: with 4 or more hostiles within 3 blocks, releases a pulse that slows and repels them. Lasts 32 discharges. Repair: blaze powder.

Modules

• Rune Hound: show it an ore, raw ore, ingot, nugget or gem and it points to the nearest matching ore (20 blocks).
• Echo Vision: a sonar wave that reveals hostiles and chests through walls (40 blocks, 6 s).
• Dynamic Focus: a flashlight that lights around you and 7 blocks ahead; hold right click with an empty hand for a 96 block beam.
• Homeward Thread: save a beacon and follow the glowing trail of the path you walked back to it.
• Logistics: 9 cargo slots. Press "Send to base" and Lumo flies your loot to the chest next to your Docking Station, coming back 60-90 s later.

Holographic map

Press M and Lumo projects a 3D hologram of everything you have explored. Drag to pan, middle drag to rotate, wheel to zoom, right click to place waypoints, with 2D/3D view, size and radius options. The Map Table shows the same map as a miniature in your base.

• Runic Docking Station: Lumo docks, sleeps and recharges here, and receives the Logistics cargo.
• Map Table: your explored world in miniature.
• Guide Book: 29 illustrated pages explaining everything.

All recipes use the vanilla crafting table and are survival friendly. Every material has its own lore in the tooltip.

Controls

Everything is configurable in game (gear button in the K menu or Mods > Lumo > Config): speech bubbles, voice, activities, moods, structure alerts, nap time and battery life.

• GeckoLib 4.4 or newer for 1.20.1 (required)
• Optional: Sodium Dynamic Lights for smoother Dynamic Focus lighting (without it, Lumo uses invisible light blocks).
• Install on both client and server. Tested on a dedicated server.

Lumo, el compañero tecno-mágico

Un pequeño autómata flotante que vive en tu hombro, ilumina tu camino, te avisa del peligro, te salva la vida y cartografía tu mundo.

¿Qué es Lumo?

Un compañero cúbico, mitad maquinaria de cobre y mitad runas antiguas. Flota detrás de tu hombro sin tapar la vista ni los clics y se comunica con el color de su lente: cian en calma, ámbar curioso, rojo ante el peligro y gris parpadeante cuando un fusible se ha fundido. Saluda, gorjea, curiosea, se aburre, se preocupa, habla en burbujas holográficas, baila con el tocadiscos y se echa la siesta en tu hombro.

Contenido

• 3 niveles: Núcleo de Cobre, Esfera de Éter y Serafín Ancestral (1, 2 y 3 módulos + 1 fusible; batería de 2, 3 y 4 h).
• Fusibles de sacrificio: Cristal de Égida (cúpula de 5 s), Fusible de Fase (vuelves a donde estabas hace 5 s) y Bobina de Descarga (pulso que frena y aparta a la horda). Se reparan en la mesa de trabajo.
• Módulos: Sabueso Rúnico, Visión de Eco, Foco Dinámico, Hilo de Regreso y Logística.
• Mapa holográfico en 3D con la tecla M y Mesa Cartográfica para tu base.
• Estación de Acoplamiento Rúnica para recargarlo y recibir envíos.
• Libro guía ilustrado de 29 páginas y ajustes dentro del juego.
