LUMINOUS:NETHER expands the base nether experience, adding 2 new biomes, 16 new mobs, 3 legendary beasts with unique drops and abilities, 3 RARE beasts with some unque drops, tons of new blocks, and new gameplay mechanics!

THE FUNGAL PLAINS

The Fungal Plains is one of two new biomes in LUMINOUS: NETHER - it houses a new faction of piglins, the CULTISTS - which are hostile towards players unless holding a cultist flag, a new item found in the biome.

Explore a new variety of infectious yellow blocks, craft a new "mushroom" woodset, build with new fungirrack bricks, and discover unique structures aroundthe biome ranging from ruined portals to bases built in the bones of old monsters. Also find and fight a new curious breed of monster - the MUSHLINS, which find and push the player back with their bouncy head!

THE ASH FOREST

The Ash Forest is the second biome added with LUMINOUS: NETHER, and it houses minecrafts undeadliest mobs yet! Find new spooky structures like the one pictured above, build with new ash bricks and a "withered" woodset!

Check out the ceiling to see a new feature, Driprot! a strange and twisting vine which grows a new food source in the nether - pale melons! Driprot has its own brick set, bringing a gross and ghastly vibe to your world!

NEW MOBS

(From left to right)

Mushlin Bumper - These curious mobs love to bounce players back with their heads! Kill them to get mushlin protein - a new food source!

Piglin Cultist - Having given their life to the call of the mushlin king, these cultists will attack ANYONE who gets near them with a new weapon - the Cultist axe!

Piglin Cultist Leader - These elite cultists have the ability to summon backup when attacked! Take them out quickly!

Piglin Cultist Rider - After learning how to tame the ferocious hoglin, this Cultist rides him into battle, at your health bars expense!

Piglin Ghost - Having been killed long ago, these angry souls are confined to spawners in different structures in the ash forest - fight them if you dare!

Pottergeists - Long believed to be the souls of dead pets, these curious spirits were captured by the piglin ghosts, held captive in structures found in the ash forest. Right click on one to tame it, and it will follow you, hold items for you, and even wear decorative vases for some added style!

Spirit - The spirits roam the ash forest, and will only attack if attacked first! They drop a new valuable item - ghostly essense

Guzzleghast - The only thing bigger than the guzzleghasts insatiable appetite is its head! Guzzleghasts roam the ash forest, attacking players unless killed or pacified. If fed, they have a chance to drop Ectoplasm balls, a unique throwable projectile capable of affecting the gravity of blocks!

Crimson Walker - Watch your swing around these infectious undead, as when they die, they POP! Crimson walkers explode into an infectious cloud when killed, giving the player a new negative effect, hemmorrhage.

Glider - The glider has long been hated by its striding cousins for the fact they never have to get their hands dirty, or, in lava. Feed a glider crimson flesh to keep it well fed, and it may let you hitch a ride!

Revenant - Roaming the soul sand valley, this skeleton has the ability to heal itself when shooting the player!

NEW LOOT

Scattered around the Nether wastes, soul sand valley, fungal plains, and ash forest, you can find new LOOT VASES. When broken, these have a chance to yield blocks, food, xp bottles, resources, and more!

"Cultist" armor trim - Show off your dedication to the cause with this new armor trim, found in loot vases!

Cultist Axe - Pick up this mid tier weapon from cultist piglins! Somehow, they found a way to make gold more durable!?

Crimson Contaminant - by mixing crimson flesh into your potion, craft an explosive new throwable, which infects enemies with hemmorhage!

Totem of Beasts - Found in nether fortress chests, this totems eyes will light up red in the presence of a legendary beast!

"Haunt" armor trim - Rock your deadliest look yet with this new armor trim, found in loot vases!

NEW EFFECTS

(From left to right)

Infection - Acts like a poison, but cancels your sprint!

Antidote - Heals any poison, wither, hemorrhage, or infection

Hemorrhage - The player will take damage when swinging at enemies while hemorrhaging

Auto Mending - When active, restores a small amount of health for all tools/armor in a players inventory every 3 minutes

NEW COMPANION

POTTERGEISTS can be found in rare structures in the ash forest, and by right clicking them, they become your travelling companion! toggle their "follow" mode with the button in their inventory, and attach a loot vase to give them one of TWELVE unqiue styles!

RITUALS

RITUALS are a powerful new mechanic in LUMINOUS:NETHER. By crafting a ritual table (3 ash brick, 3 torn rags dropped from piglin ghosts, and a red candle) The player can place it on top of a pedestal and begin casting! The ritual table feeds on GHOSTLY ESSENSE, a resource dropped by all ghosts in the ash forest biome. Use a new enchantment, SOUL CLEAVE, to make ANY mob drop this resource! Rituals will reset daily, at midnight in game.

There are currently 8 rituals: (From left to right)

Ritual of Health - Will heal the player for half of their currently missing health ( 3 MINUTE COOLDOWN )

Ritual of Cleansing - Will remove all negative effects from the player ( 3 MINUTE COOLDOWN )

Ritual of Night - Will change the current time to night ( 6 MINUTE COOLDOWN )

Ritual of Saturation - Will give the player a saturation boost temporarily ( 3 MINUTE COOLDOWN )

Ritual of Chance - Nothing but luck ;) ( 90 SECOND COOLDOWN )

Ritual of Experience - Will increase a players level by 3, no matter their current level ( 10 MINUTE COOLDOWN )

Ritual of Sanity - Will disable phantom spawns for 3 in game days ( 1 HOUR COOLDOWN )

Ritual of Mending - Will grant the auto mending effect, restoring item/armor health ( 30 MINUTE COOLDOWN )

LEGENDARY BEASTS

LEGENDARY BEASTS are rare, tough mobs found around various biomes in LUMINOUS:NETHER. They add a new challenge and goal for players, with new rewards! Killing a beast grants a chance to drop a new music disc, a legendary beast head trophy, or a rare usable item!

There are currently 3 legendary beasts, and 3 RARE variants of those beasts: (From left to right)

Mushlin King - Spawning in the Fungal Plains, the mushlin king is what all cultists worship. This big bad mushroom commands the land. Killing it has the chance to drop a new music disc, a trophy of its head, or a Spore Bundle - an offhand item which triggers upon reciving fatal damage, saving the player and releasing a toxic cloud of gas!

Piglin Executioner - Spawning in the Ash Forest, this king of the undead wields an axe that doesnt apologize. Killing him has the chance to drop a new music disc, a trophy of its head, or the executioners cowl - a new armor peice worn in the head slot. It has very low protection, but it grants strength to the player when killing enemies in quick succession!

The Furnace - The biggest and baddest of them all. Nobody knows how This monsterous creature came to life, but we do know one thing. It's angry. Killing this beast has the chance to drop a new music disc, a trophy of its ember minion, or the molten coal - an offhand item which gives the player strength when they are on fire!

The 3 RARE legendary beasts are the WARPED MUSHLIN KING, BASALT EXECUTIONER, and the SOUL FURNACE, spawning in the warped forest, basalt deltas, and soul sand valley respectively. Killing any of these beasts gives a guaranteed drop of a music disc, a special rare trophy of the killed beast, and the rare item corresponding to the normal variant of that beast.

DECORATIONS

Use my other mod, LUMINOUS: TAG alongside this one for the ability to craft new decorative blocks, such as ghostly fire pits, wall mounted candles, spooky lanterns, and more! I use a separate mod for this so I can have one universal item across all my mods which labels something as "decorative"
