# Lumeon

Lumeon is a client-side LoD terrain renderer for Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge. It renders far-distance terrain beyond the normal vanilla view distance, making large worlds feel more open while keeping nearby chunks handled by the normal Sodium rendering pipeline.

## What It Does

Lumeon stores and renders simplified terrain data for distant world sections. Nearby chunks continue to use the standard renderer, while distant terrain is drawn as lower-detail geometry. This helps reduce the hard visual cutoff that normally appears at the edge of the render distance.

## Requirements

- Minecraft 1.21.1

- NeoForge 21.1.230 or newer

- Java 21 or newer

- Sodium for NeoForge 0.8.12-beta1 or newer

## Important Notes

Lumeon is a client-side rendering mod. It does not generate chunks by itself and it does not replace server-side world generation. On multiplayer servers, it can only render terrain data that your client has received or stored locally.

For the best experience, use Sodium and avoid stacking multiple experimental renderer replacements at the same time.
