Lost Pages

Lost Pages adds collectible text scraps that can drop when you break grass, leaves, crops, and other plants by hand. Each scrap is a Lost Page item, and you can read it on map-style parchment in your hand, in an item frame, or fullscreen with a right-click.

The mod ships with a big default set of short notes (splash-style one-liners, old vines, Minecraft menu splash echoes, fun facts, a few diary scraps, and internet joke notes).

Everything is controlled in config/lostpages.toml: drop chance, whether Fabric fake players can trigger drops, optional find sound/particles, parchment text layout, weight labels, and the full notes list. Pack authors can replace the defaults with their own lore without editing the jar. Drop sources are the #lostpages:page_sources block tag, so you can add more plants with a datapack.

Requires Fabric Loader, Fabric API, and Minecraft 1.21.11.
