Lodepulse adds a premium handheld ore scanner to Minecraft. Right-click to send out a scan and a holographic HUD shows which ores are nearby, how far away they are, which direction to walk, how strong the signal is and how rare the ore is. The compass keeps pointing at the ore as you move, and the game tells you when you break it.
- Three scan modes: Pulse scans every ore around you. Precision focuses on one ore you choose and gives tighter readings. Deep reaches 32 blocks and is unlocked with a module.
- Ore categories: Coal, iron, copper, gold, redstone, lapis, diamond, emerald, nether gold, quartz and ancient debris. Mod ores can be added through config tags.
- Animated model: a custom 3D device with a rotating scanner ring, a pulsing core and an extending antenna. It reacts when you equip it, scan, find ore, find rare ore, find nothing or run low on power.
- Energy and upgrades: the Lodepulse runs on a battery. Recharge it with Energy Cells, redstone dust or redstone blocks. Three modules upgrade it: Extended Range, Efficient Scanner and Advanced Battery.
- Fair play: it gives direction and approximate distance only. It never shows coordinates or highlights ore through walls, and it never loads chunks.
- Technical details: it needs no extra libraries, only Forge 1.20.1. It runs on the server, so it works in multiplayer, and the scan is spread over several ticks to keep the game smooth. Turkish and English are included.
Default controls: right-click to scan, sneak + right-click or R to change mode, V to change the target ore. Keys are rebindable.
