Improved lock generation for modded structures, new commands for resetting arenas, more enchantment controls, and fixes for doors, containers and mod compatibility.
Modded Structures and Generated Locks
- Fixed missing locks in Apotheosis and other modded structures. Modded loot entries were sometimes treated as worthless, preventing their containers from receiving locks. Apotheosis loot is now recognised, and unfamiliar loot uses a configurable fallback.
- More reliable lock placement. A follow-up check catches containers missed during chunk generation, including chests placed across chunk boundaries. Double chests receive one lock, even when their halves occupy different chunks.
- Generated barrels can now receive locks by default, using the same loot-based tiers as chests. Supported modded barrels can also be included.
- Optional generated door locks. Doors in structures can receive locks when enabled. This is off by default.
- Expanded generation settings. Added controls for trapped chests, prefilled structure containers and supported modded containers, plus block, dimension, structure and loot-table filters.
- Lootr containers are now opt-in and are handled as individual containers.
- Better control over lock difficulty. Configure how unfamiliar loot is handled, override individual loot-table values or assign values to custom loot entries. Partially recognised loot will not receive a weaker lock than its known contents justify.
- Existing areas are not automatically rescanned or relocked. Normal generation changes apply to newly generated chunks.
Commands for Arenas and Datapacks
- Added
/lockscommands for operators, command blocks, datapack functions and the server console. Relock, unlock, inspect or check locks at specified coordinates without needing a nearby player. - Reset whole areas. Preview affected locks, then relock or unlock a region. Commands support relative coordinates and can run in other dimensions through
/execute. - Choose whether to keep or reroll the puzzle. Relocking preserves the lock’s keys, owner, tier and enchantments. The optional reroll changes its combination.
- Restore missing arena locks with
/locks ensure. It relocks an existing lock or creates one on a supported target. Newly created locks receive new keys. - Safer resets during play. Lock changes stop active picking attempts, and locking a container closes its open inventory screens.
- Commands only affect loaded chunks. If required chunks are missing or an operation exceeds its limits, nothing is changed.
- Added an example arena-reset datapack and an administration guide.
Enchantment Controls
- New master switch for Locks Reforged enchantments, alongside individual enchantment toggles.
- Disabled enchantments stop working on existing items, leave random acquisition pools and cannot be added or upgraded at an anvil. Their saved data is preserved, so re-enabling restores them.
- Adjust rarity separately from strength. Configure enchantment availability and frequency for enchanting tables, loot, villager books, wandering-trader locks and generated locks.
- Better trader pricing. Wandering-trader locks that receive no enchantment are sold without the enchantment surcharge.
- Disabled enchantments are clearly marked in item tooltips, and settings update when the server configuration reloads.
Fixes and Compatibility
- Fixed Carry On integration failing to activate, restoring the intended support for moving locked blocks.
- Improved Respawning Structures support. Structure resets preserve player-placed and command-created locks while refreshing eligible generated locks.
- Fixed powered doors remaining shut after unlocking. Doors, trapdoors and fence gates now respond correctly to their current redstone signal.
- Zombies can no longer break locked doors while lock protection is enabled.
- Stronger container protection. Locking a container blocks further inventory interactions and revokes access previously cached by other mods.
- Fixed lock-state saving and syncing, improved configuration validation, and made loot-value calculation safer during generation and reloads.
- Added generation inspection commands and optional diagnostics to explain why a container did or did not receive a lock.
- Network protocol remains unchanged at version 4.
