Timber Chop is a modern Quality-of-Life (QoL) mod built for Minecraft that makes timber harvesting quick, balanced, and completely safe for your builds.

🪓 Whole Tree Felling: Break a single log of any natural tree with an axe, and the entire tree trunk comes falling down instantly.

🍃 Instant Leaf Decay: Say goodbye to floating leaves and waiting for them to slowly decay. The mod clears tree leaves immediately, dropping apples, saplings, and sticks right to your feet.

💬 Interactive In-Chat Settings: No cluttered GUI windows needed. Type /timber to bring up a sleek in-chat badge menu and simply click [ ✔ ON ] or [ ✖ OFF ] to toggle features on the fly.

🛡️ Smart Anti-Grief / House Protection: The mod verifies whether a log belongs to a natural living tree by scanning for leaves overhead. Your wooden cabins, pillars, and log decorations are completely safe from accidental destruction.

🌲 Wood Type Matching: Only logs matching the initially broken species will be harvested. Trees of different species touching each other (e.g., Oak next to Birch) won't cross-felled.

⚖️ Balanced Durability: Every log broken deducts durability from your axe as intended. If your axe reaches zero durability during a chop, felling halts immediately to prevent free block breaks.

3. How to Use

1. Felling Trees: Hold any axe and break a log on any naturally generated tree.

2. Single-Block Harvesting: Hold Sneak (Shift) while chopping to break only a single log without triggering whole-tree felling.

3. Changing Settings:

   Type /timber in chat

   • Hover over and click the [ ✔ ON ] or [ ✖ OFF ] badges to toggle Tree Felling or Fast Leaf Decay.

    

4. Things to Know

Leaf Requirement: Whole-tree felling requires natural leaves overhead. Isolated log pillars or building structures without leaf canopies will only break one block at a time.

Tool Durability: If your axe doesn't have enough durability left to fell the entire tree, it will break and stop harvesting right at that point.

Performance Limits: Built-in safeguards cap block destruction to a maximum of 256 logs and 400 leaves per swing, keeping server TPS smooth even on massive jungle or redwood trees.
