Live Flood
Turn your world into a rising-water survival challenge. Flood a city, watch the landscape disappear beneath the surface, or race to build higher before the next rise.
Choose a water level, and Live Flood fills the air below it while you play. Areas near players flood quickly from the top down, while other loaded chunks slowly fill upward in the background. Explore somewhere new, and the flood follows.
Want the water to keep rising? Set how many Minecraft days pass between floods and how many blocks the water rises each time. The countdown saves with your world, and each rise is announced in chat.
Features
- Set the flood level to any Y coordinate, or use your current height.
- Automatically raise the water at an interval you choose.
- Fast flooding within a configurable radius around every player.
- Slower background filling when nearby flooding and cleanup are finished.
- Fills caves and empty building interiors while preserving existing blocks.
- Works in singleplayer and multiplayer, with separate settings for each dimension.
- Saves flood progress and the schedule between sessions.
Getting started
/flood 80

/flood schedule 10 10

/livefloodhelp
Shows the full command list.
Commands that change the flood require cheats or operator permissions.
Before you flood
Water placed by the mod stays in your world. Stopping the flood or lowering its target level won’t drain it, so back up any world you want to keep dry.
Flooding is spread across game ticks to limit performance spikes, but large floods can still cause lag. The mod only processes loaded chunks and never loads the entire world at once.
