Little Blockheads
Raise tiny companions that use their parent's player skin. Hatch Stone, Iron, Gold, Diamond, Emerald, and Obsidian children, give them room in your base, and collect the presents they discover while exploring with you.
Features
- Six child tiers with distinct helmets, recipes, reward pools, and progression.
- A 5% daily chance for a childless player to receive a surprise baby.
- A visible contentment system based on time spent close to and in sight of the parent. Contentment affects mischief, while gift timing stays fair.
- Carry a child on your head at any time. Mischievous children may jump down unexpectedly.
- Gifts based on the child tier, item value, and the mod namespaces of nearby blocks. Simple presents can arrive in about 2 minutes; valuable rewards can take up to 20 minutes.
- Parenting events including item snatching and recovery, crop growth help, crop stomping, sleep interruptions, toys, drawings, and family photos.
- Children follow their parent, flee hostile mobs, panic after taking damage, and occasionally pick very weak fights they should not have started.
- A craftable guidebook with child status pages, contentment details, gift progress, and parenting help.
- Severe consequences for killing your own child.
Compatibility
Little Blockheads targets Minecraft 1.21.1 on NeoForge. It is standalone and has no required dependency on All the Mods 10 or Afflictions. Its data-driven reward discovery is designed to recognize vanilla and modded blocks without requiring those mods at compile time.
Development preview
This is an early development build. The automated build and 206 non-game tests pass, but full in-game gameplay verification has not been completed. Back up important worlds before trying it.
