What's new

Licensed to Craft 1.1.0

Players can now buy their own profession.

NEW

  • Profession tokens. Admins give them with /profession tokens add <player> [amount], which works from FTB Quests rewards, CustomNPC dialogs, command blocks or the console. Also tokens remove, set and get.

  • Permits. A player spends tokens on a permit and becomes that profession. Each profession has its own price (cost), and buyable: false keeps one off sale so it can only be granted.

  • The Professions screen. Press O or type /profession. It lists every profession on the server with its icon, shows the one you pick as a paper permit (what it lets you make, and what you can't do without it), and stamps the ones you hold. Hover a line on the permit to see everything it covers.

  • Players can give a profession up from the screen or with /profession abandon. It needs two clicks. Servers choose whether that refunds the tokens (refundOnAbandon) or is allowed at all (allowAbandon).

  • maxProfessions caps how many professions a player can buy. Set it to 1 and the choice really matters. /profession grant ignores the cap.

  • onBuy and onAbandon commands per profession, so buying a permit can unlock a questbook chapter. {player}, {uuid} and {profession} are filled in, and @s is the player.

  • Name your tokens: tokenName, tokenNamePlural, and a tokenHint that tells short players where tokens come from.

  • Per-profession description and icon for the screen.

  • Players without the mod type /profession and get the same menu in chat with clickable [Buy] and [Give up].

  • Player commands: /profession, /profession buy, /profession abandon, /profession list. Everything else still needs permission level 2.

  • The editor: /profession edit opens the whole setup in one screen for admins. Tick which mods each profession locks (craft, place, station, use) from a searchable list of every mod on the server, add single items, tags, categories and exceptions from suggestions or from the item in your hand, set each profession's name, colour, icon, description and price, create and delete professions, and change the server's permit rules. Every change saves to warbornprofessions.json straight away, no restart. Asked for by Xmat5.

FIXED

  • Deny and permit messages now say "an Inventor" and "an Arcanist" instead of "a Inventor". This also fixes custom deny messages written as "Only a %s".

CHANGED

  • The mod now has an optional client half. Servers still need nothing else, clients without the mod are still let in, and a client with it can join servers that don't run it.
  • /profession list and /profession professions also show tokens and permit prices.

UPGRADING

  • Drop the jar in. Grants carry over. A 1.0.x config without a permits block gets the defaults (permits on, no limit, give-up allowed, no refund), so add descriptions, icons and prices when you're ready. Licensed to Craft 1.1.0
