Letter Hunt
The alphabet is trying to kill you.
Alphabet Hunt turns normal Minecraft survival into a nonstop letter hunt. You get a letter and a specific amount of time (as per your selection). Find any block or item that starts with that letter and hold it in your main hand before the timer runs out. If you don't, you die.
How it works
- Every player gets a letter and a specific amount of time.
- You need to find any survival-obtainable block or item whose English name starts with that letter.
- It has to be in your main hand. Having it in your inventory, dropping it, or scrolling past it on the hotbar does not count. The check happens the moment the item lands in your main hand.
- Get it right and the timer goes back, you get a new letter, and the hunt keeps going.
- If the timer hits 00:00 first, you die.
Game modes
You start the game from a menu in the mod's own UI and pick one of two modes. If the UI glitches or doesn't appear at the start you can write the following command "/alphamode"
Sequential mode
Clear the whole alphabet in order, from A to Z. It's a long run, so pace yourself.
Randomised mode
Letters are picked completely at random. You never know what's coming next, so you have to work with whatever biome and resources you have around you.
Multiplayer
Playing on a server with friends? Everyone has their own timer. Each player's letter, timer and game mode are tracked separately.
So one person can be panicking over a "C" with 10 seconds left while someone else is flying through "M" with a full minute on the clock.
Good for
- Challenge runs and YouTube videos
- Playing with friends and seeing who dies first
- Testing how well you really know Minecraft
