Let it Walk!

Let it Walk! is an addon for Create about building walking machines — mechs, spider tanks, walking bases — out of ordinary blocks, with legs that really walk.

Requires Create and Sable.

What's there?

Let it Walk! currently has:

• The Walker Core — the heart of every walker.
• Block-built legs — hang legs off your hull with Leg Hinges and Leg Swivels, build their segments out of any blocks, and finish each with a foot. Two legs, four, six or more, of any shape and length
• Procedural walking — the legs plan every step themselves: they climb stairs, slopes and cliffs, step down ledges, keep the hull level on rough ground and wade or swim through deep water
• Three kinds of feet:
  • the Leg Foot, for plain walking
  • the Jet Foot, which burns lava and lets the whole walker take off and fly
  • the Spiked Foot, which digs into anything — your walker climbs walls and walks on ceilings
• Pilot Controls — sit down and drive: walk, turn, shift gears, gallop, charge up a jump, raise and lower the hull, lean it with the mouse.
• Arms — switch any joint to Arm mode and the limb becomes an arm that swings as the walker walks. Hold 1–4 and move any arm or leg by hand with the mouse
• Mounts — plates you put jet engines or Spiked Feet on. Fire the engines for a dash, or let the Spiked Feet grab the block or contraption in front of them.
• The Positioner — set the pose your legs stand in, joint by joint, and aim your engines
