LegacySneak

LegacySneak brings back the subtle sneak view from Minecraft versions before 1.14.

Modern Minecraft lowers the camera significantly while sneaking. With LegacySneak, the camera only dips slightly, recreating the classic feel without changing normal gameplay behavior.

Sneak Animation Options

• Smooth: Modern-style smooth transition when sneaking and standing up.
• Classic 1.7: Instantly lowers the view when sneaking, then smoothly raises it when standing up.
• Instant: Immediately switches between standing and sneaking view heights, just like Minecraft 1.8–1.13.

Full Restore

An optional Full Restore setting also restores the old sneak collision behavior.

This prevents passing through 1.5-block-high gaps and may cause movement inconsistencies on multiplayer servers. Keep this option disabled when playing online, or use it at your own risk.

Installation

Install the Fabric or NeoForge version for Minecraft 26.2, then place the .jar file into your mods folder.

On Fabric, Mod Menu is recommended for accessing the configuration screen.
