What's new

1.5.0

Ports

  • New: Fabric 1.19.2, Forge 1.21.1, Forge 1.21.11
  • 16 files total; no version removed

Fixes

  • Forge / NeoForge 1.21.11+: worlds moved on from 1.21.1 keep their custom leashes (players, boats, minecarts, ender dragon) instead of breaking and dropping the lead
  • Fabric 1.21.1: custom leashes sync to clients on older accepted Fabric API builds (0.108.0+)
  • Forge / NeoForge: maxLeashesPerPlayer = nan counts as the default (unlimited) and is logged, instead of blocking all leashing
  • Fabric: a config missing an option and holding an unreadable value is backed up as leashall-server.toml.bak before being rewritten
  • An unreadable saved custom leash is named in the server log when dropped

Notes

  • Fabric 1.19.2 saves custom leashes like Fabric 1.20.1, so they survive moving the world to 1.20.1
  • Forge 1.21.11 draws custom leash ropes after the rest of the world; ropes behind water or tinted glass may look slightly different there

Compatibility

  • Fabric: Fabric API + Architectury API (Architectury new)
  • NeoForge: Architectury API (new)
  • Forge: Forge only
  • Server required, client optional; 1.4.x and 1.5.0 servers/clients stay compatible
  • Each jar targets exactly one Minecraft version with closed loader ranges

Unchanged

  • Leash rules, leashall-server.toml and its options, leashes saved in worlds
