Leaning - Stealth for horror
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Leaning 1.1 — Stealth update
English
Leaning is now a horror / stealth mod: peek without being seen, hide, spy through doors.
New
- Hide under beds. Crouch + right-click a bed to crawl under it (short first-person animation). You lie face down, smaller, head raised, and can look around a little. Press Space to crawl out.
- Hostile mobs that did not see you go under lose track of you and can't find you, even 1 block away. Mobs that saw you still know where you are.
- You still take damage while hidden. If the bed breaks, you are out at once.
- Doors left ajar. Look at a closed wooden door and press the peek key (default: Shift + right-click): it creaks open to 45° and stays there.
- Visual only: for the game the door stays closed. Nothing walks in; redstone and pressure plates work as usual.
- Lean while facing it and your view slips through the gap. Leaning also pushes the door wider, up to 75°; it eases back to 45° when you stop.
- Peek key again: closes it slowly and quietly. Slam key (default: right-click): slams it shut.
- Near an ajar door, a hostile mob only notices you if it is right in front of your view, looking at you and within 6 blocks. Their hits do half damage. A mob you hit fights back.
- Ajar doors are saved with the world, and other players see them too.
- New keys: "Door: Leave Ajar / Close Slowly" and "Door: Slam Shut", in Controls → Leaning and in
/leaning keys. - On/off toggles for both features in the setup screen (
/leaning left configor/leaning right config). Both are on by default. /leaning keysnow accepts combinations (Shift / Ctrl / Alt + key or mouse button).
Changed
- Default lean keys are now Shift + Q (left) and Shift + E (right) (were Z and V). With Shift held, Q and E lean instead of dropping an item or opening the inventory. Keys you already changed stay as they are.
Fixes
- Lean keys with a modifier (e.g. Shift + E) could get stuck: after releasing Shift first, pressing Shift alone (crouch, sprint) made you lean.
- The camera no longer shakes when moving next to an ajar door or a wall.
- Hostile mobs near an ajar door no longer target players in creative mode or on peaceful, and neutral mobs (zombified piglins, endermen...) are no longer angered by it.
- A short redstone pulse on an ajar door no longer leaves it out of sync.
- No crash with modded doors or beds that lack the usual block properties.
- The game no longer fails to start when another renderer mod changes the block renderer.
Compatibility
- Embeddium (and other renderers that use Forge's model data): ajar doors draw correctly.
/leaning left configou/leaning right config).
Compatibilidade
- Embeddium (e outros renderizadores que usam o model data do Forge): a porta entreaberta aparece certinha.
