LeafTalk helps you understand players speaking different languages through translated chat and speech bubbles.
Google Translate automatically detects each message’s language and translates it into your chosen language. No API key is required.
Features
- Vanilla chat formatting: translated messages keep the familiar
<Player> messageformat. - Bilingual speech bubbles: each message creates a separate bubble above its sender, with the original text above the translation. Longer messages wrap across multiple lines.
- Independent translation controls: translate chat, bubbles, or both. Disabling bubble translation keeps the original text visible.
- Click to read the original: click a translated chat message to reveal its original directly underneath, even after newer messages arrive. Closing the chat collapses the expanded text.
- Simple settings: press F8 to choose your target language and translation options.
- Fully client-side: the server and other players do not need LeafTalk.
For example, a message from arthouxyz could appear in chat as:
<arthouxyz> Hello, everyone!
Their speech bubble would show:
Olá, pessoal!
Hello, everyone!
An internet connection is required. If Google Translate cannot translate a message, its translated text displays ....
