Your image. A real monster.
Most "custom entity" mods give you a flat image that stands there. This one doesn't.
Every creature you make runs actual horror AI — it watches you from the treeline, waits until you look away, follows you into caves, appears at your window and knocks harder and harder until the glass breaks. You are not building the behaviour. You are choosing which behaviour your image wears.
Making one takes about thirty seconds:
Press F9 → CREATE → type a name → import your PNG → SAVE → TEST
That's it. No config files to hand-write, no restarting Minecraft, no Java.
Eleven behaviours
Pick how your creature acts. Each one is a complete, tested horror routine.
Don'tCry The full scripted set piece: appears at your door, freezes you, saws, relocates to your window, knocks faster and faster, then breaks through
Stalker Watches from a distance, closes in, screams, chases, and breaks through whatever you hide behind
Chaser Trembles when you see it, then charges. Bright light drives it off
Lurker Waits in unlit caves. Vanishes the instant you look straight at it
Watcher Stands at range and stares. Never approaches. Never leaves
Ambush Peeks from behind trees, hides again when you turn around
Peeker Appears at windows and doorways, watching from outside
Teleporter Blinks between positions instead of walking
Jumpscare Appears in your face, screams, gone
Aggressive Comes straight at you and hits hard
Night Only while it's dark, or while you sleep
Passive Present, aware of you, completely harmless. Sometimes that's worse
Make the screen itself panic
The shaking red warning you've seen in scripted videos is fully yours:
Any text — write what you want
Any colour, plus the offset shadow behind it
Three fonts including the enchanting-table alphabet, which is unreadable on purpose
Shake amount and speed, horizontal and vertical, tuned separately
Glitch — dial how much of the text corrupts into noise
Camera shake — take the player's footing away, separately from the text
You can also make your creature apply potion effects, throw a title and subtitle on screen, and send messages to chat — all from the panel, all with colour codes.
Any size
Size scales a creature up or down and keeps its proportions. Build something that towers over a house, or something knee-high that follows you around. Set opacity to make it half-there — or fully invisible, which is its own kind of horrible.
Your friends get your images automatically
Put a creature on your server. When a friend joins, their game works out which images it doesn't have and downloads only those, in the background, with a progress bar.
Each image downloads once, ever. Rejoining costs nothing. Change an image and it updates on its own. Nobody has to install a resource pack or copy files.
Quality is never touched
Your PNG is copied in byte for byte. No resizing, no recompression, no flattening onto a background. Transparency, colour and sharpness survive exactly as you made them. Any size, any shape — a tall portrait stays a portrait.
Built for filming
Original creatures don't spawn on their own. Nothing wanders into your shot uninvited. Spawn eggs and commands still work, so you place things exactly when you want them
TEST spawns a creature in front of you instantly
Debug overlay shows live state, animation progress and texture info
Export and import — send a finished creature to someone as a single file
Automatic backups before anything is deleted or overwritten
Safe by design
Only operators can open the panel. Everyone else just gets scared
A missing or broken image shows a placeholder instead of crashing
A malformed file is skipped with a readable explanation; your other creatures still load
Requirements
Minecraft 1.20.1
Forge 47.x
Nothing else. Everything needed is included, and it installs alongside Don'tCry without conflicting if you already have it.
