Description

LazyBow is a Minecraft 1.19.2 mod that introduces a completely new bow system, designed to offer depth, customization, and a fresh experience for ranged combat enthusiasts.
This isn't just about adding new bows: LazyBow redefines the bow as a strategic tool, with three distinct types (Normal Bow, Shortbow, Longbow), each with unique mechanics, enchantments, and roles. From component crafting all the way to netherite forging, every step is part of a progression designed to accompany the player from early game to endgame.

- 11 unique enchantments — Each bow type has exclusive enchantments that change how you play

Systems
Interactive Tooltips — Hold SHIFT to see detailed descriptions for each enchantment, including cooldowns, costs, and mechanics.
Custom Draw Curves — Each bow type has its own draw curve: Shortbow is instant and linear, Normal and Longbow use a quadratic curve that accelerates progressively.
Enchantment Limits — Longbows cap at Power III. Shortbows cap at Punch I. Flame and Soul Burn are mutually exclusive (new replaces old).
Gameplay
Each bow type has a distinct role:
- Shortbow — Dynamic combat. Shoot in 0.5s, dash away with Zephyr Step, poison with Venom Spray. For players who love mobility and pressure.
- Longbow — Strategic combat. Slow draw but every shot counts. Mark targets with Hunter's Mark, pierce armor with Armor Piercer, or devastate groups with Heavy Impact.
- Normal Bow — Technical combat. Build Focus stacks for devastating shots, use Judgment Arrow to hit behind cover, or activate Afterimage to vanish.
Progression
- Gather basic materials, craft components (Snapped Stick, Hide Glue, etc.)
- Craft the Leather Bow Template, then your first leather bow
- Find ores, craft the next tier template, forge at the smithing table
- Reach Netherite. Find or craft all 11 enchantments
Templates also spawn in 12 vanilla structure chests with scaling rarity.

FAQ
Q: Can I use this on a server?
A: Yes, the mod is required on both server and client.
Q: Do I need to start a new world?
A: No. Templates can be found in already-generated chests, and you can always craft them.
Q: Can Flame and Soul Burn coexist?
A: No, they are mutually exclusive. Applying one removes the other.
Q: How do I use Judgment Arrow?
A: Press [V] to activate targeting, aim at an enemy for 3s (they will glow), then shoot a fully-charged arrow.
Q: How does Focus work?
A: Hold the draw beyond full charge — every 5 ticks you gain a damage stack. Audio feedback at each stack.
Q: Can I disable Zephyr Step?
A: Yes, press [V] to toggle it ON/OFF.
Q: Where do I find templates in chests?
A: In 12 vanilla structures: dungeons, mineshafts, pyramids, jungle temples, strongholds, mansions, buried treasure, shipwrecks, ocean ruins, nether fortresses.
Q: Can vanilla enchantments go on LazyBow bows?
A: Yes, with limits: Power max III on Longbows, Punch max I on Shortbows.
Q: Do enchantments appear at the enchanting table?
A: Yes, all 11 mod enchantments can appear, respecting bow type restrictions and compatibility rules.
Known Issues
- Cooldown data (Afterimage, Soul Burn, Judgment Arrow, Hunter's Mark) uses static UUID maps that reset on server restart — intentional behavior.
/lazybow give with allapplies all compatible enchants including Flame+SoulBurn; Flame is automatically removed.- Default values are tested on small servers. Large servers may need config tuning.
