LagBack

LagBack simulates unpredictable server lag by rewinding players 1–5 seconds at random intervals. Damage is delayed individually, while death and respawning stay vanilla. All timings can be customized with simple operator commands.

LagBack 1.2.0 — Vanilla Death Update

Changes

  • Removed the automatic lag-based resurrection system.
  • Dead players are now ignored during lag events.
  • Death, item drops, the death screen, and respawning are completely vanilla.
  • Players must use the normal Respawn button after dying.
  • Player movement history is cleared after respawning.
  • Added temporary rewind protection after respawn to prevent players from being pulled back to their spawn point.
  • Fall distance is now preserved during rewinds, so lag events no longer cancel fall damage.
  • Improved compatibility with other damage-modifying mods.
  • Removed unused death-checkpoint code.
  • Updated the mod description and documentation.
  • Added new automated tests and rebuilt the release files.
