1.37 changelog :

- Kai and Speed no longer eat what you mine. Anything that dropped within a few blocks of
  either of them was treated as a present: lapis fed to Kai, and a diamond destroyed on the
  spot by whichever of them reached it first. Mining diamonds with Kai following you could
  make the sixteen you need impossible to keep. Only something you actually threw counts
- The notebook no longer congratulates you for a fight you never had. Burning a diamond
  asked the story to move to "burning diamonds", which sits above "boss defeated" on the
  same ladder, so anybody who threw a diamond in a fire early was quietly recorded as
  having fought the boss and won - and the notebook opened with "You beat him. Nobody does
  that." Beating him is now remembered as something that happened rather than as a number
  that was passed. Worlds that really did finish the fight keep those pages

- They can hear what you say to them. Swear at Kai or Speed and the mood drops, be kind
  and it climbs, and the next thing they say comes out in the mood you just put them in.
  Kai's face and his eyes follow it, Speed's bar follows it, and the AI is told the new
  mood rather than the old one
