L.E.A.V.E. Core
Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge)
Genre: Experimental Simulation | Environmental Systems | Atmospheric Survival
This mod is a foundational component of the L.E.A.V.E. modpack, providing world-level systems, structures, and progression elements designed to support the simulation’s controlled and artificial environment. It is not intended for standalone use and is built around the mechanics, pacing, and atmosphere of L.E.A.V.E.
The module focuses on environmental consistency, subtle restriction, and long-term exploration rather than introducing traditional content or combat mechanics. Its purpose is to make the world feel configured, monitored, and deliberately incomplete.
README:
This mod is developed specifically for the L.E.A.V.E. modpack.
Features, progression, and world interactions are designed to work alongside L.E.A.V.E.’s terrain, audio, and entity changes, and the mod may not function correctly outside of the modpack until L.E.A.V.E. is released.
What It Adds:
Simulation Biomes
Introduces simplified biome variants such as Empty Plains, Empty Forest, and Empty Desert. These biomes reduce natural clutter, emphasize large-scale terrain, and prioritize readability over detail to reinforce the artificial nature of the environment.
Environmental Structures
Adds sparse, purpose-built structures intended to appear maintained or partially abandoned rather than ruined. These structures serve as navigational markers, log locations, and evidence of prior habitation without overt storytelling.
Data Logs & World Records
Implements collectible logs placed throughout the world. These records provide fragmented and recovered information related to the simulation, its operators, and prior subjects, without fully revealing the underlying truth.
System Feedback Changes
Introduces minor world feedback adjustments tied to progression and exploration, reinforcing the idea that the environment reacts to observation rather than player dominance.
Progression Hooks
Adds lightweight advancement triggers and world interactions meant to guide exploration without traditional questing or explicit objectives.
Design Philosophy:
Prioritizes simplicity over spectacle
Reduces environmental noise and randomness
Encourages observation and long-term exploration
Avoids overt horror presentation in favor of controlled atmosphere
The mod is designed to feel like part of a larger system rather than a feature showcase.
