Description
Trophies that arrive with the player's name and the date engraved on them, and that can be put on display. A pack defines each trophy in datapack JSON and hands it out with one command, so a quest reward, an advancement function, a skill tree or any mod that can run commands can award them.
When a trophy arrives, its name appears large across the screen with the challenge-complete chime, and the trophy goes straight into the player's inventory.
Looks
- Statue of any item, vanilla or modded, drawn in metal. For mastering or finishing something.
- Cup. For rankings, contests and events.
- Crest showing any item in its own colours. For collecting or completing a set.
- Star in a colour of your choice. For finishing a whole pack.
- Your own model, if the pack draws one.
Statues, cups and crests come in copper, silver, gold or diamond, on a large or a small pedestal. Placed on the floor a trophy stands on its pedestal; placed against a wall it sits on a shelf.
Defining a trophy
One file per trophy, data/<namespace>/kuronami_trophies/trophy/<path>.json. The file mypack/potter.json is the trophy mypack:potter:
{
"name": {"translate": "trophy.mypack.potter"},
"rarity": "epic",
"look": {"type": "statue", "metal": "gold", "item": "minecraft:decorated_pot"}
}
Add "requires": ["mypack:potter", "mypack:smith"] to make a combined trophy: it arrives by itself once the player holds all of them, and nothing is used up.
Commands
/trophy award <players> <trophy> gives a trophy; a player only ever gets the same one once. regive hands out another copy of a lost trophy with its original date, revoke forgets the record, and list shows what a player holds. Permission level 2.
Display
A placed trophy keeps its engraving, and breaking it gives the same trophy back. Only its recipient, an operator or a player in creative mode can break it; explosions, pistons, the Ender Dragon and the Wither leave it alone.
Limits
- Needed on both the server and the client.
- With a shader pack on, the metal statue may show in a flat colour instead.
