📖 Overview
Obsidianite is an expansion mod designed to enrich the vanilla endgame experience. It makes some overlooked vanilla items more practical and provides a brand new ultimate goal for players who already have full Netherite gear — an upgrade beyond Netherite: Obsidianite.
✨ Features
· New Tier of Gear: Adds the Obsidianite series, which completely outclasses Netherite. However, power comes at a cost (all Obsidianite gear comes with a minor movement speed reduction). · Gear Attributes: · Tools: Significantly boosts mining speed, durability, and attack damage. · Weapons: Increases durability and attack damage. · Armor: Adds extra armor toughness. · New Items: Obsidianite Scrap, Obsidianite Ingot, Obsidianite Smithing Template, Obsidianite Block, Obsidianite Armor, Tools, and Weapons. · New Trim Materials: Netherite Scrap, Obsidianite Scrap, and Obsidianite Ingot can now be used as Armor Trim materials!
🧪 Obtaining & Crafting
How to get Obsidianite Scrap?
- Main Crafting: Craft with 8x Crying Obsidian + 1x Netherite Scrap.
- Piglin Bartering: Has a small chance to be obtained through bartering with Piglins.
New Practical Recipes:
· Crying Obsidian: 4x Obsidian + 1x Ghast Tear → 4x Crying Obsidian. · Netherite Recycling: Smelting a Netherite Ingot in a furnace yields 3x Netherite Scrap (giving a better use for excess Netherite).
🔧 Environment & Installation
· Environment: Client & Server (Both client and server need to install this mod) · Currently Supported Versions: Minecraft 1.21.1 (Fabric Loader >= 0.16.9) · Future Porting Plans: The author plans to port this mod to 1.20.1 and other versions in the future, with NeoForge and Forge support also planned. Stay tuned! · Dependencies: Fabric API (Download the 1.21.1 version) · Simply drop this mod and Fabric API into your mods folder on both the client and server.
