Koatus Mod
Koatus is a chaotic survival mod that adds a strange herb and a powerful smoking item called the Koatus Pipe.
Koatus Herb naturally spawns on the Overworld ground, appearing around the world at a rate similar to normal grass. When harvested, it can be combined with Paper to create Koatus Pipes.
Koatus Pipe is the main item of the mod. Each Koatus Herb + Paper crafts 4 Koatus Pipes, and Koatus Pipes stack up to 16. When a player consumes one, 1 Koatus Pipe is removed from their inventory and the player receives the Reckless effect.
The Reckless effect starts at Reckless I and lasts for 1 minute. It grants Speed II, Protection II, and reduces negative effects by 30%. Using another Koatus Pipe while Reckless is active increases its stage, making the effects stronger. The negative-effect reduction increases by 3% per Reckless stage.
However, the higher the Reckless stage gets, the more insanely dizzy and chaotic the player’s vision becomes. The screen can shake, swirl, and distort heavily, making movement and placing blocks extremely difficult.
When Reckless completely expires, the effect resets back to Reckless I the next time a Koatus Pipe is consumed.
Koatus is designed to be simple to obtain but increasingly chaotic to use—the stronger you become, the harder it becomes to actually control yourself.
