Kindlewood Skill Tree adds a passive tree: one shared web of stat nodes that every player builds through, whatever their class. It is part of the Kindlewood RPG mods and needs Kindlewood Core and Kindlewood Levels.
How it works
- Press P to open the tree. Drag to move around and scroll to zoom.
- You earn a passive point every two character levels (50 at level 100), enough for about half the tree, so every build is different.
- Start from the centre and take nodes linked to ones you already have. Right-click a node to refund it, as long as nothing else hangs off it.
- Six areas: Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, Vitality, Survival and Gathering, joined by bridges so you can mix them.
- Small nodes give a little, notables give more, and each area ends in a keystone: a big bonus with a cost (Juggernaut: +30% health but slower; Fleetfoot: much faster but frailer; Archmage: big spell power, weaker weapons; and more).
- Survival and Gathering cover the everyday: breath underwater, fall damage, burning, mining speed, reach and luck.
For server owners and pack makers
- The whole tree is one datapack file,
data/kindlewood_skilltree/kindlewood_skilltree/tree/main.json: node positions, links and any attribute bonuses. Replace it to make your own tree. config/kindlewood_skilltree-server.toml: points per level and the respec cost.- Operators can reset a player's tree with
/kwskilltree respec.
Compatibility
Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1. Needed on both the client and the server. Requires Kindlewood Core and Kindlewood Levels.
Modpacks
You may include Kindlewood mods in any modpack, as long as the pack downloads them from this page (or Modrinth). No need to ask.
