Kindlewood Levels gives every player one character level, from 1 to 100. It is part of the Kindlewood RPG mods and needs Kindlewood Core.
How you level
- Kills: XP scales with the mob's health and its level (when Kindlewood RPG sets mob levels). Bosses give five times as much. Farming mobs far below your level pays less.
- Mining: ores give XP, from coal up to ancient debris. Any ore in the common ore tags counts, including other mods' ores.
- Quests: pack makers can reward XP with
/kwlevels addxp <player> <amount>, which works as an FTB Quests command reward.
What a level gives you
- A few stats every level: vitality every 4 levels, and strength, dexterity and intelligence every 10. These use Kindlewood Core's stats, so they follow your level up and down.
- Other Kindlewood mods hand out class points and passive tree points when you level up.
- A slim level bar above your health, with your level number. Hold Tab to see the exact XP.
For server owners and pack makers
- Every number is in
config/kindlewood_levels-server.toml: the XP curve, kill and ore XP, the low-level penalty, boss multiplier and stat rewards. - Commands (operators):
/kwlevels get,/kwlevels set,/kwlevels addxp. - With Kindlewood Core's balance data turned on, levelling speed is recorded under anonymous IDs to help tune the curve.
Compatibility
Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1. Needed on both the client and the server. Requires Kindlewood Core.
Modpacks
You may include Kindlewood mods in any modpack, as long as the pack downloads them from this page (or Modrinth). No need to ask.
