KillRange Mod (Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge) KillRange is a utility mod that extends vanilla kill-tracking mechanics with configurable kill attribution rules and native FTB Quests integration. It features three selectable statistic modes and a full suite of in-game commands for configuration and data management. Three Statistic Modes The mod has removed automatic environment detection — it no longer differentiates between single-player and server environments. Mode 1 is enabled by default across all scenarios, fully matching the behavior of its earliest versions. Mode selection is saved per world save and persists across game restarts, with each world maintaining an independent configuration. Mode 1: 16-Chunk Radius Statistic As the default tracking rule, this mode grants one kill credit to every player within a 16-chunk radius of a mob’s death position, with no supplementary kill attribution applied. Mode 2: Mob Aggro Statistic This mode retains all kill-credit rules from Mode 1. Additionally, if a dying mob holds active aggro on a specific player, that player receives kill credit even if they are outside the 16-chunk range. No extra credit is issued if the mob has no targeted player. Mode 3: 3-Minute Damage Dealer Statistic This mode preserves all kill-credit rules from Mode 1. Upon a mob’s death, all players who dealt any damage to it within the previous 3 minutes are awarded kill credit, regardless of their current location. Each player is counted only once even if they dealt damage multiple times. No credit is assigned if no player damaged the mob within the time window. Damage dealt via player-fired arrows or splash potions is also attributed to the casting player. Full Command Reference /killrange: Runs a nearby mob scan that lists the name and count of each mob type within a 16-chunk radius around the user, and displays the currently active statistic mode along with FTB Quests compatibility status. /killrange 1: Switches to Mode 1 (16-Chunk Radius Statistic, the default mode). It grants kill credit to all players within 16 chunks of the death point, with no supplementary attribution. /killrange 2: Switches to Mode 2 (Mob Aggro Statistic). Built on Mode 1 rules, it grants supplementary kill credit to the player that holds the dying mob’s aggro. /killrange 3: Switches to Mode 3 (3-Minute Damage Dealer Statistic). Built on Mode 1 rules, it awards kill credit to all players who damaged the mob within 3 minutes prior to its death. /killrange stats: Displays your personal kill records broken down by mob type. It also allows cross-verification against vanilla Minecraft statistics, which can be accessed via ESC → Statistics. /killrange clear: Deletes your personal kill records stored by this mod to free up memory. Progress already synced to FTB Quests and vanilla statistics remain completely unaffected. /killrange clearall: Deletes all players’ kill records stored by this mod, which requires operator or admin permission. This action also has no impact on FTB Quests progress or vanilla statistics. /killrange ftb status: Shows the FTB Quests sync status, the full description of the current statistic mode, and usage instructions for mode switching. /killrange ftb on: Manually enables FTB Quests kill synchronization. This toggle setting is saved persistently to the world save file. /killrange ftb off: Manually disables FTB Quests kill synchronization. Kill records maintained by KillRange itself and vanilla statistics are not altered by this action.
