# Kib's Additions — Full Changelog: 5.3.25 → 6.0.5

Forge 1.20.1 / NeoForge 1.21.1.

This changelog covers changes introduced after 5.3.25 and reflects their final state in 6.0.5. Repeated fixes have been consolidated, and superseded behavior has been omitted.

## Science Books and Learning

- Added five ancient textbooks: Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Physics, and Quantum Physics.
- Each book contains 25 chapters and 100 learnable sections, for a total of 500 sections with English and Russian text and diagrams.
- Added an illustrated book interface with two-page spreads, scrolling text, a table of contents, and learning progress.
- The table of contents lists chapters, every section number, and completion markers.
- Added front and back covers, navigation to the beginning and end, and a page-turn animation with a bending page.
- Learning one section normally takes 30 seconds, or 5 seconds at the final stage of intoxication.
- Learning pauses while viewing covers or the table of contents and during page turns.
- Learning progress persists after death.
- Added group study: each participant learns 25 previously unread sections, and time advances by half a Minecraft day in that dimension.
- Group study requires agreement from all living players in the same dimension, excluding spectators. Players who have already completed their book can also agree.
- Accounted for independent clocks in personal universes and dimensions that do not allow their time to be changed.
- Master librarians now always offer all four standard science books. Each costs 24 emeralds and one book.
- These trades are added without replacing regular offers, random selection, or duplicates. Existing master librarians receive the offers when trading is opened.
- The Quantum Physics book has a 25% chance to appear in Ancient City chests.
- Fixed book item thickness, side faces, content clipping at different GUI scales, and the next page appearing too early.

## Laboratory Table and Synthesis

- Added a Laboratory Table for synthesizing portal fluids.
- The table occupies two horizontal blocks, with both halves opening the same inventory.
- Added a laboratory apparatus model featuring transparent flasks, tubing, a condenser coil, a heater, test tubes, reagents, wiring, and a notebook.
- Added a separate centered inventory model with a reduced scale.
- Added an interface with recessed slots, metal frames, copper traces, an output chamber, and a segmented progress indicator.
- Synthesis displays completion percentage and remaining time.
- All five science books must be fully learned before starting synthesis.
- Added synthesis recipes for Prototype, Bootleg, standard Portal, Gold, and Rick Prime Portal Fluid.
- Synthesis times are 40 seconds for Prototype, 60 for Bootleg, 80 for standard Portal Fluid, 120 for Gold, and 160 for Prime.
- Laboratory recipes are displayed in JEI.
- Added recipe autofill using the “+” button in the Laboratory Table and Modification Table. Ingredients are taken from the player's inventory, and filling is handled by the server.
- Removed ghost ingredients from the Modification Table.
- Input slots are locked during synthesis. Work pauses if the operator disconnects, and the table's state is saved.
- Fixed the laboratory title displaying the wrong recipe.
- Recipe lists are cached instead of being sorted every frame and tick.

### Gold Portal Fluid

- Synthesis requires three separate original memories: synthesizing standard Portal Fluid, Bootleg Fluid, and Prototype Fluid.
- Valid memories from either the operator or another player are accepted.
- The three memories can be placed in any order across the top-left, bottom-middle, and bottom-right memory slots.
- Empty capsules, copies, duplicate memory types, consumed memories, and memories already restored to a player are rejected.
- Fixed validation of original capsules and their server-issued tokens.
- Successful synthesis consumes the memories and returns empty capsules.
- JEI and laboratory hints display filled examples of the required memories.
- Synthesis errors identify the affected slot and the reason for rejection.
- Fixed recipe autofill for the three different synthesis memories.

## New Fluids and the Large Flask

- Added Prototype Fluid, Bootleg Fluid, Gold Portal Fluid, and Rick Prime Portal Fluid.
- Added infinite core variants of all four new fluids.
- New vials use Rick's Stuff's native fluid animations and their own collar designs.
- Added fluid blocks and five buckets: Prototype, Bootleg, standard Portal, Gold, and Prime.
- Buckets are available in the creative tab and support filling and pouring.
- Added English and Russian names for fluids, fluid blocks, and buckets.
- Added a Large Flask with a capacity of 1,000 mB, equivalent to one bucket.
- The Large Flask can collect fluids from the world and interact with compatible tanks.
- Added transfers between the Large Flask and portal fuel vials using an item in the other hand.
- The flask's contents use the fluid's actual texture, tint, and glow, including fluids from other mods.

### Refilling and Fuel Properties

- Supported fluids can fuel Rick, Evil Morty, and Prime portal guns. The fuel determines the portal's properties.
- Prototype and Bootleg Fluid refill a gun to 100%.
- Refilling by hand or through crafting preserves the gun's settings and saved destinations.
- Refilling works when interacting with air or blocks, with the gun in either hand.
- Shift + right-click opens the menu without accidentally refilling the gun.
- Replacing or ejecting a vial preserves its type, color, and remaining charge.
- Gold Fluid grants dimensional access and travel beyond the Central Finite Curve.
- Prime Fluid additionally allows travel through anti-portal fields without an installed black goo vial.
- Removed the previous reliance on the Evil Morty gun chassis alone for built-in dimensional access. Access now accounts for fuel and upgrades.
- Creative gun variants receive the appropriate fuel and complete upgrade data.

### Unstable Portals and Spilled Fluids

- Prototype portals now use a cyan palette with electrical sparks.
- Living entities die after successfully traveling through a Prototype portal.
- Organic items become coal after traveling through a Prototype portal. Apples become the new Burnt Apple item.
- Charred items emit smoke for a short time.
- Bootleg portals collapse on contact with a living entity and cause fatal chemical burns with harmful effects.
- Organic items burn at the entrance to Bootleg portals. Inorganic items disappear on contact with unstable portals.
- Food is automatically recognized as organic. Additional items can be included using the `kibs_additions:organic_portal_items` tag.
- Creative players and spectators are protected from the hazardous effects of Prototype and Bootleg fluids.
- Unstable portals use standard teleportation, including when Immersive Portals is installed, so their consequences cannot be bypassed.
- Standard, Gold, and Prime portals retain seamless travel support.
- Spilled standard Portal Fluid moves entities between vanilla dimensions within the same universe.
- Spilled Gold and Prime fluids can select other universes and loaded modded dimensions beyond the Curve, excluding Infinity dimensions.
- Added a cooldown between repeated fluid-triggered teleports.
- Arrival searches account for entity size, obstacles, liquids, world boundaries, and the Nether ceiling.
- If no suitable arrival point exists, another permitted dimension is tried. If all options fail, the entity remains in place.
- Fixed a crash when no safe arrival location could be found.
- Teleport searches are limited per tick.
- Fixed mob transfers creating unwanted vanilla Nether portals.
- Fluid travel no longer overwrites a personal universe's spawn point.
- Portal fuel types are saved and synchronized between the server and clients.
- Portal fuel is replaced with water in newly generated Infinity random terrain selections.

## Coloring and Visual Effects

- Standard, Gold, and Prime fluids support the Colorizer, including infinite variants.
- Coloring preserves the item type, charge, infinite status, and fuel properties.
- Prototype and Bootleg fluids retain fixed palettes.
- Fixed color channels being merged incorrectly and colors unexpectedly reverting to green.
- Old default palettes are updated automatically while custom colors are preserved.
- Prime Fluid and its portals use a green default palette.
- Fluid, emitters, menus, and HUD elements reflect the installed fuel's color.
- Fixed colors for projectiles, firing particles, portal opening and closing effects, and self-destruct effects.
- On NeoForge, projectiles receive their color before appearing on the client. The temporary green placeholder is no longer rendered.
- Unpowered emitters are gray, without a glow halo or forced full brightness.

## Prototype Portal Gun

- Added a standalone Prototype Portal Gun and its discharged chassis.
- Added a discharged chassis recipe using iron, copper, redstone, string, and a lever.
- Completely rebuilt the model based on references, including L-shaped metal panels, a top plank, light-colored tape, a burgundy emitter, a striped rear cylinder, and a wrapped grip.
- Added external wires and hoses with properly attached ends.
- Fixed missing textures and pink-and-black areas.
- Adapted the vial and caps to Rick's Stuff's rectangular fluid shape.
- Fixed vial placement, mounting hardware, intersecting surfaces, and Z-fighting.
- Fluid and cores use Rick's Stuff's native animations.
- The vial, caps, and rims disappear when no fluid is installed.
- The main and secondary lenses are convex, visible from the front, and glow in the fluid's color. Empty lenses are gray.
- Fixed the rendering order of the lenses and chassis and added a soft halo.
- Reduced the gun's size and adjusted first-person and third-person positioning separately.
- Added a Prototype size slider ranging from 50% to 200%, with 100% as the default.
- In the final version, the slider affects third-person size. First-person size stays fixed, and the inventory icon is unaffected.
- The gun has one upgrade slot by default, with capacity controlled by server settings.
- Black goo vials and memory cards cannot be installed in the Prototype.
- Previously installed memory cards can still be ejected.
- Atlas, menu color customization, and self-destruct are unavailable for the Prototype. Self-destruct is also blocked on the server.
- Removed the black goo vial removal button from Prototype settings.

### Prototype Interface

- Added PERSONAL styling with a family photograph and NAVIGATION styling with a paper map.
- Menus, submenus, and the HUD use a handmade device design with metal, paper labels, screws, tape, wiring, and mechanical switches.
- Improved textures, contrast, and readability.
- Button labels fit completely within their beige panels using wrapping or font scaling.
- Fixed the Saved Locations title overlapping the map illustration.
- Saved Locations opens the Prototype's own notebook, where coordinates must be entered manually.
- Only the player's current block coordinates in the current dimension can be recorded. This is validated by the server.
- Saved entries can be selected again or deleted without a memory card.
- Set Coordinates retains Rick's Stuff's regular coordinate screen and upgrade requirements.

## Standard Guns, HUD, and Configuration

- Adjusted the proportions of Rick's standard Portal Gun, shortening its original front section and refining the final length.
- Moved the front wall and all three emitters together while preserving the main vial and its animations.
- Shared model changes apply to charged, creative, and discharged variants.
- Reworked the panel's volumetric glow, removing intersecting diagonal planes and adding fading along its edges and height.
- Raised the glow above the chassis rim and increased its visibility.
- Moved the black goo vial closer to the main fluid vial and corrected its mounting position.
- Rick's standard gun displays a vial instead of a photograph in the corresponding menu layout.
- Classic uses Rick's Stuff's original main menu, submenus, and HUD styling.
- The Classic preview uses the original screen with actions disabled.
- Fixed Blender and Atlas button placement in Classic, including layouts with an additional random destination row.
- Added independent HUD corner selection for the Portal Gun and Rick's Cruiser, with previews and an option to follow Rick's Stuff settings.
- Added a server configuration menu for upgrade capacity. Defaults are 2 for Rick, 3 for Morty, 5 for Prime, and 1 for the Prototype.
- Individual capacity overrides are available for registered gun items, including creative variants.
- World rules can be changed by an operator or the singleplayer owner. Settings edited from the title screen become defaults for new worlds.
- On NeoForge, Rick, Prime, and Prototype size controls are grouped in one section.
- The Prototype and its discharged chassis are placed at the start of the creative tab's second row, shifting fluids and subsequent items forward.
- NeoForge's item order now matches Forge, including gun variants, laboratory items, chips, devices, and drinks.
- Black goo vial removal is available through a compatible gun's Settings menu, is validated by the server, and returns the installed item.

## Blender

- Fixed opening Blender without a Dimensional Card.
- Access is checked by the button, the server request handler, and portal creation.
- A previously saved destination cannot bypass the requirement after the card is removed.
- Built-in dimensional access from Gold and Prime fluids is respected.
- Added a server-controlled mode that deals regular contact damage instead of instantly destroying living entities.
- Standard damage invulnerability frames are preserved.
- Default damage is 8 health points, equivalent to 4 hearts before armor and other protection.
- The mode is disabled by default. Damage can be configured from 0 to 2,048 health points.
- Added “Blender: server rules” to the configuration menu, with a mode toggle and damage field.
- Changes are applied by the server to all players. Editing requires permission level 2 or singleplayer ownership.
- Settings edited from the title screen are saved as defaults for new worlds.
- Item entities retain their existing Blender behavior.

## Puppets

- Vanilla mobs retain our player-body control system.
- Added Rick's Stuff's native possession controls for modded mobs.
- The `nativePuppetControl` server setting controls native possession of modded mobs. The vanilla control system remains separate.
- Follow and defend orders, along with automatic explosions after death, are preserved.
- Fixed defensive target selection and increased hostile mob detection range.
- Accounted for attacks against the owner and controlled body, including mobs using Brain-based AI.
- Controlled body death is handled separately from the player's death.
- Explosion settings are preserved before implant data is cleared, and explosions occur after death is confirmed.
- Optimized controlled mob lookup using an index.

## Vodka and Flasks

- Added blackouts from excessive drinking: eight doses with no more than a minute between doses, or emptying a flask in one sitting.
- The blackout lasts eight seconds.
- The player then wakes up at a safe location within a 100×100-block area around the original position, in the same dimension.
- If no suitable location is found, the player stays in place.
- Blackouts only occur in singleplayer worlds that are not open to LAN. They are disabled on LAN and dedicated servers.
- Up to 16 vodka bottles can be transferred into a flask in one action, limited by its remaining capacity.
- Refilling works through the other hand or by right-clicking the items onto each other in the inventory.
- Empty bottles are returned.
- Added an Infinite Flask: always full, with no vodka consumption or refilling requirement.
- The Infinite Flask does not display a fill bar on its item icon.
- Preserved the flask model and its opening animation while drinking.

## Recipe Changes

- Prototype Fluid uses a glow ink sac, redstone, Rick's Stuff dark matter dust, an amethyst shard, quartz, and an empty tube.
- Bootleg Fluid uses a quantum isotope, slime ball, glowstone dust, blaze powder, ender pearl, and empty tube.
- Standard Portal Fluid is synthesized from Prototype Fluid, Bootleg Fluid, a quantum chip, an eye of ender, an amethyst shard, and an empty tube.
- Gold Portal Fluid uses three valid synthesis memories, two golden chips, a Dimensional Card, two standard Portal Fluid vials, and an empty tube.
- Prime Fluid uses eight standard Portal Fluid vials surrounding black goo.
- Added infinite variants of the new fluids using the corresponding finite vial and infinite fuel components.
- Replaced black goo with iron in the Prime gun recipe.
- Replaced portal fluid with tachyon inhibitor cores in the Microverse Battery recipe, and replaced four obsidian blocks with four netherite ingots.
- Added a bucket to the Large Flask recipe.
- The Infinite Flask uses Rick's Flask, vodka, a Microverse Battery, a tachyon inhibitor core, a subquantum resonator, and a quantum isotope. The recipe is shapeless.

## Universes and the Nether

- Expanded universe identifier support to formats such as `C-100-Z` and `Fs-68f-Zeta-b`.
- Identifiers support Latin letters, digits, and hyphens, up to 32 characters, with normalized capitalization.
- Invalid identifiers are highlighted during universe selection.
- Fixed lighting standard obsidian Nether portal frames in personal Overworld and Nether copies.
- Added the necessary handling for setups both with and without Immersive Portals.
- Restored missing NeoForge Nether portal handlers for personal universes.
- Portal creation permission checks are preserved. Personal End dimensions do not gain support for standard Nether portals.
- Optimized personal universe profile lookup, with cache invalidation when profiles change.

## Administrator Commands

- `/timeline knowledge 1` — fully learn all five science books.
- `/timeline knowledge 0` — reset book progress and learned synthesis knowledge.
- An optional final argument selects a player: `/timeline knowledge 1 PlayerName`.
- Commands require permission level 2 and work even when the timeline system is disabled.
- Open books receive updated progress immediately. The current reading timer and group study vote are reset.
