Keystone v1.2.1
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Keystone v1.2.1: Every category
A big update across the whole mod: 19 new features and options, a cleaner look, and a long pass over overlapping text and bugs.
Redstone
- Pulse Detector: every piston that fires shows how long its pulse was: "0-tick", "1-tick", "2-tick" and so on, coloured red, orange or yellow for the short ones, with "×N" when the same pulse repeats. You can turn on timing for observers, droppers, lamps, repeaters and other components too.
- Delay Ruler: look at a repeater or comparator to see how long a signal takes to run down the line from it. It shows "+Nt" at every component and the line total at the end.
- Probes: the timeline now also shows how many ticks each probe fires after probe 1 ("P1+4t").
- Server TPS (HUD): how fast the server is really ticking, measured from its time updates, so you can tell server lag apart from a slow build.
- The Redstone preset now includes Pulse Detector, Delay Ruler and Server TPS.
Survival
- Hazard Highlight: outlines lava, fire, lit campfires, magma blocks and powder snow near you, optionally through walls. There's also a lava-only mode.
- Effect Timers (HUD): your status effects with the time left, shortest first. Helpful effects are green, harmful ones red, and any effect turns amber in its last 10 seconds. Beacon effects can be hidden.
- Food & Saturation (HUD): your hunger and the hidden saturation value.
- Flight (HUD): only while you glide with an elytra. Shows speed, height, climb angle, elytra durability and rockets left.
- Time (HUD) can show a countdown to night or day and the moon phase.
- Death waypoints: each death adds a red "Death N" waypoint.
- The Hardcore preset now includes Hazard Highlight, Effect Timers and Food & Saturation.
Building
- Variant Scroll: hold the variant key and scroll to switch the block in your hand to its other shapes, wood types or colours. In creative the new block is given to you; in survival it is swapped in from your inventory.
- Build Grid: a grid on the surface you aim at, with a strong line every few blocks, for spacing pillars, windows or farm rows. It can be lined up with any block.
- Measure: now also shows how many blocks a straight line between the two points takes.
- The Building preset gets key binds for Variant Scroll and Build Grid.
Inventory & utility
- Tooltip Extras: exact durability, the anvil repair cost, how many of the item you have in containers you've opened, and the item id. Each line can be turned on or off.
.copy [lines]copies the last chat lines to your clipboard.
Look & feel
- New Keystone badges: a pixel keystone glyph next to Keystone players in chat, on name tags and in the Tab list. The style can be a keystone, a diamond or "KS", and each place can be turned on or off. Keystone's creator stands out with a crowned gold badge, a gold name and a DEV tag.
- "NEW" tags in the menu mark new and changed features until you open them.
- Notifications can go top centre, top right, bottom centre or bottom right, and you choose how long they stay.
- Block Outline animation: steady, a gentle pulse, or a slow rainbow.
Overlapping text, fixed everywhere
- Labels on the same block (piston info, pulse times, power, probes, quasi-connectivity, storage labels, container fill, waypoints, death markers, find results) now stack neatly instead of being drawn on top of each other.
- Item labels merge a pile of the same item into one label ("Cobblestone ×192").
- HUD elements that don't fit on screen are hidden instead of overlapping; you can still see and move them in the HUD editor.
- Bottom-centre HUD elements move up while the action bar message shows.
- The HUD editor works at large GUI scales and on small windows: the hidden-elements list uses several columns, and the toolbar moves out of the way of your elements.
- Item Selector text no longer covers the hotbar at large GUI scales.
- Sound Pointer subtitles from similar directions no longer overlap.
Fixes
- Placement previews no longer show while freecam is flying without interactions.
- Every screen was checked at GUI scales 2 and 4, and Keystone was tested together with Sodium, Iris, Litematica, Zoomify, Carpet, Axiom, Mouse Tweaks, Flashback, Entity Texture Features / Entity Model Features and Sodium Extra.
