Keybinds Rebound

Unlisted
Customizable radial menus for Minecraft and mod keybinds, with up to 24 wheels and tap-to-repeat shortcuts.

Keybinds Rebound

Put your Minecraft and mod controls on customizable radial menus, including controls that have no keyboard shortcut assigned. This is a client-side mod; no server installation is needed.

A note about how this mod was made

Keybinds Rebound was completely vibe coded using AI. I want to be upfront about that so you can decide for yourself whether that is a reason to use it or avoid it.

This started as a personal project. I decided to release it because it solves a problem for me and I think other people might find it useful too. Maybe it will even inspire someone to build their own version without AI. Either way, the goal is to make something useful and solve a problem.

This is a hobby project made for fun. I will maintain it for as long as I am willing and remember to do so, but I make no promises about updates or long-term support. Using AI makes maintenance simpler for me, which helps me keep it going.

Feature suggestions are welcome as long as they fit the mod. Thank you, and enjoy!

Features

  • Create up to 24 radial menus, with up to eight actions on each wheel.
  • Hold a shortcut, point at an action, and release to activate it, or switch to click mode.
  • Optionally enable tap to repeat for each radial: tap its shortcut to repeat the last selection, or hold to open the wheel. The hold delay is adjustable.
  • Browse radial cards, search controls by name or category, and drag actions to reorder them.
  • Give radials and actions custom names, choose slot icons, and pick from eight accent colors.
  • Adjust the in-game background dimming. Hover an action to see its original control name and assigned key.
  • Set radial shortcuts directly in the editor, with warnings for conflicting assignments.
  • Duplicate or delete radials and share presets using import/export codes.

Getting started

  1. Enter a world, pause, and select Radial Keybinds.
  2. Open the first radial card and use the center + to add controls.
  3. Open Options to assign its shortcut, or use Minecraft's Controls screen under Keybinds Rebound.
  4. Return to the game, hold that shortcut, point at an action, and release.

All 24 radial shortcuts and the optional editor shortcut start unbound. The pause-menu button can be hidden after you configure an editor shortcut.

Installation

Choose the file matching both your Minecraft version and mod loader. Install only one Keybinds Rebound file per instance. Fabric builds also require Fabric API.

Available for Minecraft 1.20.1, 1.21.1, and 26.3, with separate Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge files.

Compatibility

Actions send a short press to registered Minecraft keybinds. Unbound controls work too, without changing their normal key assignments. Sustained actions such as movement or mining receive a short pulse; holding or toggling an individual action is not supported. Mods that listen directly to physical keyboard events may require separate integration.

Missing mod controls remain in saved radials and presets for later use, and do nothing while that mod is absent. Settings save automatically in config/keybindsrebound.json.
