What's new

Kenny 6.0.0 - The Curse Learns [PRIME KENNY]

Kenny 6.0.0 is a major horror, combat, progression, and reliability update. Kenny is now more aggressive, more capable across difficult terrain, and significantly harder to defeat. The complete encounter has also been expanded across the Overworld, Nether, and The End.

Added

  • Added new combat abilities:
    • Kenny can leap toward players on towers and other elevated positions.
    • Kenny can jump over trees and obstacles when a direct chase route is unavailable.
    • Kenny can throw players after a close-range attack combination.
    • Kenny can kick nearby mobs directly toward the player.
    • Kicked mobs damage the player on impact.
    • Kenny can throw primed TNT toward the player during a chase.
    • Kenny can launch fireballs at distant or elevated targets.
    • Kenny can rapidly destroy blocks directly obstructing his path.
  • Added full swimming and amphibious pursuit:
    • Kenny can chase through water instead of stopping at the shoreline.
    • Kenny can choose routes across both land and water.
  • Added dedicated animations for spawning, idling, walking, chasing, swimming, attacking, jumping, throwing players, throwing TNT, throwing mobs, breaking blocks, and dying.
  • Added expanded daily horror events:
    • TNT anomalies begin on Day 2 and are distributed throughout the day.
    • Day 2 has up to 3 TNT anomalies.
    • Day 3 has up to 7 TNT anomalies.
    • Day 4 has up to 10 TNT anomalies.
    • Day 5 and later have up to 16 TNT anomalies.
    • The End has its own anomaly activity regardless of the current day.
    • Lightning anomalies now appear with controlled delays.
    • Distant footsteps can approach from behind the player.
    • Door-opening and block-placement sounds can occur nearby.
    • Chase sequences can include heartbeat sounds, darkness pulses, and visual disturbance.
  • Added rotating horror dialogue for escapes, dimension changes, TNT anomalies, sleep traps, daily progression, and supply drops.
  • Added daily supply drops for every eligible player:
    • Supply drops begin on Day 2.
    • Every player receives an individual drop above their own position.
    • Supplies improve as the world progresses.
    • A short warning gives players time to move into an open area.
    • Kenny and unrelated anomalies pause briefly while supplies are being delivered.
  • Added new Kenny Totem effects:
    • Holding the Totem grants Speed.
    • Nearby hostile and neutral mobs flee from the holder within 15 blocks.
    • The fear effect is disabled in The End.
  • Added improved Kenny defeat rewards:
    • Two stacks of enchanted golden apples.
    • An enchanted Kenny Sword with 24 attack damage.
    • A full enchanted Kenny Armor set.
  • Added Kenny advancements for major progression, combat, Totem, and End milestones.
  • Added /kenny restart for restarting the curse after Kenny has been permanently sealed.
  • Added an in-game Mod Menu configuration screen when Mod Menu is installed.
  • Added configuration options for Kenny's combat abilities, block breaking, block blacklist, anomalies, sleep traps, supplies, sounds, effects, Totem powers, difficulty, and progression.
  • Added a configurable cooldown for sleep encounters to prevent repeated bed interaction from creating excessive entities or TNT.

Changed

  • Changed Kenny's chase behavior:
    • Kenny now prioritizes direct pursuit like an aggressive melee creature.
    • Kenny continuously faces and runs toward his selected target.
    • Kenny recovers more quickly when a route becomes blocked.
    • Alternative routes are considered before a jump is used.
    • Jumping remains available for towers, terrain, and failed routes.
    • Kenny no longer pauses to behave like a ranged-only enemy.
  • Changed obstacle breaking:
    • Kenny now physically clears a complete 5-block-long, 5-block-wide, and 5-block-high volume in front of him when the chase is obstructed.
    • The sweep includes the center and begins at Kenny's current ground level.
    • Breaking uses bounded four-block batches with a short safety delay to protect server performance.
    • Block breaking still respects mobGriefing.
    • Server owners can disable block breaking or blacklist protected blocks.
  • Changed encounter difficulty:
    • Kenny begins with 30 hearts.
    • Later encounters repeatedly increase Kenny's health and damage.
    • The first encounter requires sustained player damage rather than a few strong hits.
    • Encounters after Kenny's first defeat are substantially harder.
    • Kenny is highly resistant to knockback and environmental hazards.
    • Kenny deals more melee damage and stronger knockback.
    • Kenny defeats non-player mobs with a single successful hit.
  • Changed The End encounter:
    • Kenny uses his complete Overworld and Nether moveset in The End.
    • Kenny receives major health, damage, and speed increases.
    • TNT and lightning events avoid damaging the Ender Dragon.
    • Horror events are more frequent and intense.
  • Changed Nether encounters:
    • Nether Kenny now uses the same complete pursuit and combat behavior as Overworld Kenny.
    • Spawn placement searches for a valid location within the Nether instead of using the roof.
  • Changed the close-range combat sequence to repeatedly combine melee attacks, player throws, pursuit, jumps, mob throws, and TNT attacks.
  • Changed close-range decisions so two melee hits open an alternating TNT or fireball attack before pursuit resumes.
  • Changed obstructed chase decisions so block breaking takes priority over ranged attacks and uses the break-block animation.
  • Changed fireball attacks to use the throw animation instead of continuing the normal chase animation.
  • Changed nearby obstructing mobs to be kicked toward the locked player before Kenny resumes the combat sequence.
  • Changed hostile mob behavior so common hostile creatures treat Kenny as an ally.
  • Changed WATCH and sleep encounters into separate encounter tasks:
    • They cannot appear at the same time.
    • A pending encounter waits for the active encounter to finish.
    • The regular WATCH schedule is not consumed or reset by a sleep encounter.
  • Changed sleep handling:
    • Sleeping is interrupted while the curse is active.
    • The first five Day 1 sleep attempts across the entire world can summon a dedicated Sleep-Watch Kenny.
    • Multiplayer shares this five-encounter limit; it is not reset or multiplied per player.
    • Sleep-Watch Kenny disappears four seconds after spawning; this duration is configurable.
    • Further Day 1 attempts and every attempt from Day 2 onward place armed TNT above the bed.
    • TNT traps are tied to the bed being used: each sleep attempt creates one trap above that bed, so separate beds can trigger separate TNT.
    • Sleep-Watch limits, dialogue, trap start day, fuse, chance, and cooldown are configurable.
    • Sleep encounters pause during supply delivery and after Kenny has been permanently sealed.
  • Changed Sleep-Watch dialogue to rotate through multiple messages while preserving “You are not alone.” as the first warning.
  • Changed Kenny's arrival and departure effects so both are marked by visible, harmless lightning.
  • Changed WATCH encounters so staring at Kenny for too long causes increasing darkness and nausea.
  • Changed gameplay messages to a shared action-bar queue:
    • Horror messages no longer clutter normal chat.
    • Messages are spaced so simultaneous events do not overwrite each other.
    • Multiplayer players receive the same global story messages in the intended order.
    • The queue has a safe pending-message limit to prevent spam from affecting server performance.
  • Changed supply delivery into an exclusive grace period:
    • Kenny, TNT, lightning, footsteps, door sounds, and other anomalies pause while supplies are delivered.
    • Normal horror activity resumes after players have had time to collect their supplies.
  • Changed Kenny's hunt start day so it can be configured from Day 2 through Day 20; Day 3 remains the default.
  • Changed progression after each Kenny defeat so future encounters continue becoming stronger.
  • Changed sound event names and organization for clearer resource-pack and configuration support.
  • Changed default horror text to shorter, cleaner, and more natural language.

  • Fixed multiplayer supply drops being delivered to only one player.
  • Fixed relogging being able to replay global day messages for the entire server.
  • Fixed queued horror messages appearing after Kenny was sealed or the curse was restarted.
  • Fixed malformed custom TNT or sleep-trap message lists potentially causing an error.
