Just Replay 1.0.5 (NeoForge 1.21.1)
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
[1.0.5] - 2026-10-27
Fixed
- The recording player's own sounds are back in replays and video exports: footsteps, blocks placed and broken, eating, swings. The server never sends a player the sounds it causes (the game plays them locally), so the recorder now captures them on the client as the packets every other player received.
- Distant Horizons: the distant terrain (LODs) of the recorded world now shows in replays and exported videos instead of being turned off. Recordings note where DH keeps each visited dimension's LODs; opening the replay copies those databases once to a temporary folder that DH reads in read only mode, so the original LODs are never opened or changed, and the copy is deleted when the replay closes. Distant generation stays off. New options
playback.distantHorizonsLods(on by default) andplayback.distantHorizonsMaxCopyMb. Recordings made before this version play without LODs, as before. - Distant Horizons could stay switched off after a replay that ended with a crash: Just Replay turned DH rendering off through its API during replays, and DH saves such values in its config file. Rendering is no longer touched; the distant generation setting changed during a replay is noted first and put back at the next start if the replay did not end normally. Players hit by this before can turn DH rendering back on in its settings.
- A short video export could fail at its very end: when the game rendered faster than FFmpeg encoded, the exporter took the full frame queue for a stuck encoder and stopped FFmpeg. It now waits for the last frames.
