Just Let Me Sleep

Allows you to sleep wherever you want, including the end and the nether

Sleep Anywhere

Beds work in every dimension. Sleep in the Nether, the End and modded dimensions. No explosions, your spawn point is saved, and when you die you wake up next to that bed.

Features

  • No more exploding beds. Beds never blow up, in any dimension.
  • Set your spawn anywhere. Using a bed in the Nether, the End or a modded dimension saves your spawn point there, just like in the Overworld.
  • Respawn at your bed. When you die you come back next to that bed, even if it's in the Nether or the End. If the bed has been broken or blocked in, you go to the world spawn as usual.
  • Actually sleep. You can sleep whenever you could sleep in the Overworld: at night or during a thunderstorm. Try it in the daytime and you get the usual "You can only sleep at night" message, but your spawn point is still saved.
  • Skip the night from anywhere. Sleeping in the Nether or the End skips the Overworld night to morning and clears the rain, just like sleeping at home.
  • Multiplayer friendly. Players asleep in every dimension count towards the playersSleepingPercentage game rule.
  • Leaving the End still works. If your bed is in the End, jumping into the exit portal takes you to the world spawn instead of straight back to your End bed. The End bed stays your spawn point for the next time you die.
  • Straw beds work like they do in the Overworld: you can sleep on them, they don't set your spawn point, and they break when you get up.
  • Modded dimensions. Dimensions where beds already work (for example ones with their own day and night) are left alone. Every other dimension gets Overworld-style beds.

No new blocks or items, so you can add it to an existing world or remove it again at any time.

Configuration

Change the settings in game under Mods → Sleep Anywhere → Config, or edit config/sleepanywhere-local.toml (sleepanywhere-common.toml on NeoForge builds from before late September 2026).

Setting Default What it does
sleepAnyTime false Turn on to sleep at any time in the Nether, the End and other dimensions. A daytime sleep is a short nap and doesn't skip a day.
skipNightFromAnyDimension true Players asleep in any dimension count towards skipping the Overworld night.
excludedDimensions [] Dimensions where beds keep their vanilla behaviour (and explode), for example ["minecraft:the_end"].
