Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Tag duel life points
- Tag and Battle City duels (2v2) have their own starting life points,
tagStartingLifePointsinserverconfig/jadm-server.toml, 16000 by default. 1v1 duels keepstartingLifePoints(8000). A tournament that sets its own life points still uses those.
Ranking
- Ranked duels:
/jadm duel <player> ranked(withantetoo, if you like). Ranked 1v1 duels between two players win and lose Elo rating points; everyone starts at 1000, and the first 5 ranked duels count double. Other duels stay unranked. - Ranks from Bronze over Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond to Duel King. Reaching a rank for the first time in a season brings 200 Duel Points and is announced in chat; the player list (Tab) shows each player's rank.
- Ranking window with the key J or
/jadm rank: your rank, rating, place and the way to the next rank, the ladder of ranks and the best 100 duelists. The result screen shows your new rating after a ranked duel. - Ranking Board: a craftable plate for the wall that shows the ten best ranked duelists on a glowing board three blocks wide and two high. Right-click it for the ranking window.
- Ranked duels between the same two players count 5 times a day at most, so friends can't farm points.
- Server settings in
[ranking]: start rating, K-factor, placement games, where each rank starts, promotion bonus, the daily limit per pair, ranked arena auto duels, the rank in the player list and the chat announcement. Tournaments get arankedsetting. - Operators:
/jadm rank set <player> <rating>,/jadm rank reset <player>and/jadm rank season confirm(a new season puts everyone back to the start rating).
Trading between players
/jadm trade <player>asks someone to trade, or sneak and right-click them with a card, binder or deck box in your hand. They accept by clicking [Accept] in chat (or/jadm trade accept,/jadm trade deny).- The trade window shows your offer on the left (up to 12 stacks plus Duel Points you type in) and theirs on the right, with the big card preview for their cards too. The swap happens only once both of you confirm; any change to either offer takes both confirmations back, and confirming waits a moment after a change, so nobody can switch a card at the last second.
- Cancelling, closing the window, logging out, a duel starting or walking too far apart ends the trade, and everyone gets their own offer back. Every finished trade is written to the server log.
- New
[trade]server settings:enabled,onlyModItems(on by default: cards, packs, binders, deck boxes...),points,maxDistance(0 = anywhere),requestSecondsandrightClick.
Draft & Sealed tournaments
- Tournaments can now be Sealed or Draft (
/jadm tournament create sealed|draft [name], or the newdeckModesetting): nobody brings a deck, everyone gets fresh packs at the start and builds a deck from them on the spot. - Sealed: everyone opens the same packs (
limitedPacks, e.g. "pack 5" for five packs of a random set that is out, or "pack:LOB 3; pack:MRD 2"), revealed one by one. - Draft: everyone opens a pack, takes one card and passes the rest on, all at once, left and right in turns, until every pack is drafted (
pickSecondsper pick, then a card is picked for you). NPCs draft and build too. - The deck building window works like the deck box: your deck on the left, the rest of your pool on the right, with search, filters, Auto (a deck from your best cards) and Done. Decks need at least
deckMinimum(20) main deck cards, only as many copies as you pulled, and no banlist. AfterbuildMinuteswhoever isn't done gets a deck built for them, and the bracket is drawn as in any tournament. - The cards are only lent for the tournament; with
keepCardsplayers keep their pool (into a binder they carry). /jadm tournament deckopens the draft or deck building window again; the Duelist's Handbook explains it all.
Set Collection Book
- A new Set Collection Book (craft a book with any card, or
/jadm sets) lists every set that is out, with its picture, how many of its cards you own and a progress bar. It counts each card once whatever its rarity, from your binders, deck boxes and loose cards in your inventory and ender chest (also inside shulker boxes there). - Filter by started, complete, reward ready or not started, sort by release, name or how complete, and search by name or set code. Click a set to see its cards with the missing ones greyed out, or only the missing ones.
- A complete set brings a reward once per player and set: by default 10 Duel Points per card of the set and 3 booster packs, and everyone hears about it in chat.
[collection]in the server config sets the points, packs, emeralds, experience and the announcement.
Star Chips
- Star Chip events, as on Duelist Kingdom: an operator starts one with
/jadm starchips start [name], and everyone who joins gets 2 Star Chips. Every 1v1 duel between two duelists of the event (arena auto duels too) is for Star Chips: each side puts up 1, or more with/jadm starchips duel <player> <chips>, and the winner takes them all. Duels against NPC duelists don't count, as on Duelist Kingdom (npcDuelsturns them on, for 1 chip). - Collect 10 and you qualify; lose your last chip and you are out. Once 4 have qualified the finals are held as a tournament on the tournament arenas, with their own prizes (
finalsSettings). With a time limit (durationMinutes) or/jadm starchips finals, empty seats go to the duelists with the most chips. - A Duelist Glove in the top left corner shows your chips; a chip won pops in, a chip lost flashes red. The duel result screen says what you won or lost, and
/jadm starchipsshows the standings. - Everything is in the new
[starchips]server config section and in the handbook (Arenas and tournaments).
Build your own duel arena
- Players can build a duel arena from any blocks. An Arena Core anywhere in it and a Duelist Podium where each duelist stands (one per side, or two side by side for tag duels) are all the mod needs.
- The field fits the build: it lies between the podiums on the arena's floor, turns with them, and grows or shrinks with the free floor (a tight cellar gets a small field, a big hall a big one). Under a roof, monsters stay below it and the duel mode camera stays in the room.
- Right-clicking the core measures the arena, shows the field's outline on the floor and opens its settings: field size (fit the room, or 50 to 200 %), how far the podiums rise in a duel (0 to 5 blocks), and the look (holo mat, or only the zone outlines so the floor you built shows). It also says what is missing, like a second podium or room for the field.
- The Duel Arena Kit now builds the Duelist Kingdom arena out of ordinary blocks (glass-tiled platform, red and blue ends with steps, posts and lamps, a podium at each end and an Arena Core in the middle), so it can be rebuilt and decorated like any other build. Its podiums still lift the duelists 3 blocks. Duel Arenas placed before keep working.
- Built arenas work like the Duel Arena: auto duels when both sides are taken (two pairs start a tag duel), tournaments (
/jadm tournament arena addwhile standing in one), NPC opponents walking to the free podium, spectators. - The Duel Dome Core and Duelist Platform became the Arena Core and Duelist Podium; Duel Domes already built keep working. New server settings
[arena] maxFieldSizeandminFieldSize.
