Trading card duels in Minecraft. Strap a Duel Disk to your arm, challenge a friend, an NPC or the bot, and watch your monsters appear on a holographic field right there in your world.
The rules are not a rough copy. Every duel runs on OCG-Core, the open-source engine behind EDOPro, so card effects, chains and timing work exactly like in the real card game. Every official card is in, about 14,700 of them.
Features
Real duels
- Duel other players, the built-in bot or NPC duelists, one against one or 2v2: tag duels with a shared field, or a team mode where each partner plays their own half of the zones.
- Original rules, Goat format or modern Master Rules, with Fusion, Ritual, Synchro, Xyz, Pendulum and Link monsters. Starting life points, banlist and a turn time limit can be set.
- Ante duels if you dare: both duelists put up a random card from their deck and the winner takes both.
- Spectate any running duel by right-clicking a duelist.
A dedicated duel mode
- Once a duel starts you stand safely at your end of the field and play with the mouse from above, like a digital card game: a big hand at the bottom, click a card for its actions or drag it onto a zone.
- Phase buttons, a response window that shows what you are responding to, and a card panel with the artwork and text of whatever is under your mouse.
- Look through graveyards, banished cards, extra decks and Xyz materials at any time.
- Hotkeys (Space, Enter, 1 to 9) and a switch that passes every response you don't need.
- Turn and phase banners, sounds, life points that count down, a duel log, a coin toss at the start and a result screen at the end.
The field in your world
- Over 600 monsters as 3D models. Each one rears back and strikes when it attacks, and fan favourites have their own signature attacks. Classic spells and traps have their own effects too.
- Monsters without a model appear as a hologram of their artwork. Resource packs can add 3D models for any monster.
- Build a Duel Dome, or set up a big island arena whose podiums rise into the air when the duel begins.
Collect and build
- Booster packs that open like the real ones (9-card core boosters, tournament packs, all-foil sets), structure decks and tins, with the real product pictures.
- Foil cards that shine: silver and gold names, holofoil and rainbow artwork.
- Progression: a new world starts with the very first booster set, and operators unlock the next sets in release order. Rules and banlist follow the era automatically. Or turn on every card from day one.
- Keep your collection in a Binder and build decks in a Deck Box, with search, filters, sorting, deck counts, legality checks and YDK import/export.
- Pick a starter or structure deck on your first join and duel right away.
Shops and Duel Points
- Duel Points (DP), a balance that isn't an item: earned from duels, a daily bonus, selling cards and more, and paid to other players with a command.
- Buy packs, decks and supplies from the Card Trader villager, a Card Vending Machine, or a Shop Stand run by another player.
- Prices, stock, currency (DP or any item) and rewards for wins and losses are all configurable.
Tournaments
- Single elimination, double elimination, Swiss with a top cut, or round robin, best of 1, 3 or 5.
- Matches are called onto your arenas, NPCs can fill empty seats, and a tournament window shows the bracket and table live. Entry fees, prizes, schedules and locked decks are all set in the config.
NPC duelists
- Duelists roam the world with real tournament decks of their era, starter decks or random decks. Beat one for a booster pack.
- They and the bot play with an AI that summons from the Extra Deck, Pendulum Summons and saves traps for your turn.
Records, cosmetics and more
- A win/loss record for every player, shown after each duel and with
/jadm stats. - 7 disk skins and 6 card sleeve designs to unlock by dueling and opening packs (press K).
- The Duelist's Handbook, an in-game book with every feature, command and setting, given on your first join.
- Figura support: avatar scripts can react to duels and replace the Duel Disk. A ready-made Figura starter avatar is available as a separate download.
Getting started
- Craft a Duel Disk (glass pane, redstone, glass pane / three iron ingots / one iron ingot) and wear it in its Curios slot or your off hand.
- Pick your first deck when you join, or open the choice later with
/jadm starter. - Right-click another player who wears a disk to challenge them, or type
/jadm duel botto play right away.
In a duel: V switches the camera, L opens the log, Escape opens the duel menu. /jadm guide opens the handbook.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1 with NeoForge 21.1
- GeckoLib 4.9 or newer (required)
