Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
v1.3.3
A fix for worlds that have reached the peak of the apocalypse.
Bug Fixes
- New chunks have ores and structures again after the peak: once the apocalypse reached its peak (day
apocalypseMaxDays, 50 by default), newly generated chunks had no ores, no structures (mineshafts, ruined portals, structures from other mods such as Applied Energistics 2 meteorites), no geodes and no dungeons. They are now generated as usual. Only what would grow on the surface (trees, plants, snow) and water springs are left out, since the apocalypse burns and dries everything up there anyway. - Ores come back in old chunks: chunks generated without ores by older versions get them back the first time a player sees them, exactly where Minecraft would have placed them. Only chunks that players have just passed by are changed (less than 2 minutes spent nearby and nothing placed in them), and only natural stone is replaced.
Technical Notes
- New chunks after the peak are generated faster: water is removed about 2.7 times faster, and trees and plants that would only burn are no longer generated.
- Ores are restored once per chunk, spread over several ticks so the server does not lag.
