For 1.9+ you DO need D3Core for this mod!
The JSON options are documented HERE!
Bags and bags of loot! Who can stop you now?!!?
What it do?
It now (since MC 1.9) uses the new loot table system for better and more advanced loot tables.
The system is incredibly powerful. See minecraft wiki.
This bag drops it's contents on the player, so you can't exploit it for more inventory space.
Bags of loot!
Something borked?
Get up to date builds here or Use the Issue list! Don't forget the crash log!
how do you configure the mod?
In reply to doopyh:
You make a loot table using the vanilla system and then make a bag from it with these instructions https://github.com/DoubleDoorDevelopment/JsonLootBags#json-format
This mod seems to add redundant information whenever you have debug tooltips enabled. Is there a way to disable this, I already have ways of getting that information.
Edit: I just realized it is caused by DDCore, the core mod for this mod. I forgot to check the configs for that.
Thanks for this mod, by the way. It was a bit tough to figure out how to set up, but now that I know what I am doing, it is both more simple and more versatile than any other loot bag mod I tried.
In reply to pawjwp:
Glad to hear you fixed your problem and that you like the mod!
Hopefully some day I start moving more things to 1.15...
Is there a way to specify all items?
In reply to BlackBlank_1973:
Like every item in the game? No.
You wouldn't want that anyway as there are lots of items that require extra data or are debug/unobtainable/technical.
In reply to Claycorp:
I want to exclude it from the blacklist.
In reply to BlackBlank_1973:
Exclude it from the blacklist?
What blacklist? There is no blacklist...
In reply to Claycorp:
Oops, I forgot that.
MODs with undesired items take a different approach.
In reply to BlackBlank_1973:
Well, this mod doesn't work like those and changing it to do so would require remaking the whole thing.
You would be better off using one of the other mods if you want that.
In reply to Claycorp:
Do you have recommended something?
In reply to BlackBlank_1973:
No idea. You said other mods do X so I assumed you had one in mind.
In reply to Claycorp:
Thank you!
Awww, skipped right over 1.11!
PERFECT !!!!
PERFECT !!!!
PERFECT !!!!
Hey is there something like a wiki for 1.7.10? I just dont have a clue how to use them in 1.7.10, seems like it is different to 1.10/1.9
Is this enough info: https://github.com/DoubleDoorDevelopment/JsonLootBags/tree/1.7.10
dang, it IS different from 1.10/1.9 :'D
but should be makeable for me :D
so If I understood it right there wont be support for 1.7.10 anymore right? only for 1.10/1.9
but anyways thanks ^^
Well, I won't update 1.7.10 if I don't have to, but if there is a bug or you can make a really good case for a change I can update it still.
Yo, had actually only a lil bit time,
So I already tried the mod config,
There happened something strange ^^'
First I deleted all examples except 3 and, was renaming these 3, changed them for trying, and then I was starting MC again, all other examples came back, should be like that or not?
And to the dropping, should they be found in chests or dropped from mobs? Bcause I killed about 250 Zombies and got 0 bags :'D
And neither I found some in a Default world in a generated chest(maybe just loot overflow 283 loaded(197 files) mods ^^').
Now some things what would be useful, it is all about config.
How about changing the rarity to number(in the config) instead of using rare, epic etc.
Additional to that a list where u can set own rarity(multiple, instead of 6 fixed rarities u could set idk, 10? or more) with names(maybe if the person needs some other names than 1,2,3 or rare, epic etc.)
And a config to set the weight/drop chance of each custom rarity.
(Optional a black/white-list(if empty, all allowed) for dropped by Mobs)
With these 3/4 things the Modpack Creator should be able to set a better difficulty to the game by defining a custom difficulty and/or using them for a custom quest reward if the person doesnt want to use the ones from BQ or HQM(or if there are any else). In my situation, I am using progression and this mod doesnt add any kind of reward bags(but for that the possibility to disable recipes until the player completed a chosen quest :D)
Optional:
Dont know if available, but the possibility of custom bag textures would be nice.(Some Funny things could be created xD, imagine someone is giving 1 bag a Chance Cube texture & name, u think he'll open it?xD)
(I didnt look at it right now) I assume the bags are using RGB, maybe instead of RGB a HexColor. To create some smoother colors or some colors which fit better.
A NEI/JEI Support, enable/disable for every single bag if the loot should be displayed or a mode that it shows what u got dropped by each bag. (Example: Skyblock, you need gold, you see 2 ways, sieving or mob hunting :D, I think many would choose mob hunting)Just that the player knows there are side ways to gather a special item.
(Better for the latest versions)An InGame-Overlay for the peeps who arent familiar with .json (I am not so good with any java thing but I understand enough since I am programming but with "Red" xD) how it could look like: A Name Slot, A Rarity Slot, multiple slots to put items into to add them to the bag, including a weight&Minimal/Maximal Output Control. Also MAYBE a enchanted slots(if the item is enchantable), if the Item should be entchanted and if yes how high is the chance that it'll be 18+ and how high 8-. This should actually increase ur popularity :D. This would be usefull customization which I think every Modpack Creator wants.
