Press G to become John Fister from the iconic browser game fister.fun
Become John Fister
You get the six-box body, the cowboy hat, the "Get Parried Chud" shirt and the badge, running Fister's own player simulation at 60 Hz. There is no jump, sprint or stamina: everything comes from your fist and your parry.
- Tap to jab, hold to charge. A charged punch sends mobs flying, and what they hit is what hurts them.
- Hold a full charge to sprint, faster the longer you hold.
- Parry a hit to take no damage, throw the attacker back and get an instant full charge.
- Look down and parry to parry-jump (also how you climb 1-block ledges). Look up and release a full charge to rocket punch.
- In the air: air kick (lock on by holding the crosshair on a target) and dive bomb straight down.
- Stand still, tap and hold: the railing dash. Hold parry to mega-boost it, or parry right before a wall to turn around.
- Grab and throw, piledrive from the air, air tech out of a knockdown, critical fist after a 7-second hold. Don't hold for 10 seconds.
Fister's effects come with it: tinted body states, impact frames, shockwaves and cracks, fire and speed trails, speed lines, screen shake and the original sounds.
Break the world
Charged punches break blocks, dives and ground-punch hops leave craters, the railing dash and air kick tunnel through walls, and fast ragdolls smash weak blocks. Drops work like mining in survival; adventure mode, bedrock, liquids and containers are left alone. Turn it off with /gamerule johnfister:fister_block_breaking false.
Fight John Fister
The John Fister mob (spawn egg in the Spawn Eggs tab) runs his own copy of the same simulation, with a brain pressing his buttons: he closes in, jabs and charges, grabs, parries some of your moves, air-techs out of knockdowns, rocket-punches up at you and dive-bombs from above. Make him passive with /gamerule johnfister:john_fister_hostile false.
Controls
- Fist (tap / hold): left mouse or Space
- Parry: right mouse or Left Ctrl
- Grab / throw / air tech: both mouse buttons, or R
- John Fister mode on/off: G
All rebindable under Controls > John Fister. Settings are in config/johnfister.json. Requires Fabric API; install on both client and server.
Notes
- Tested in single player. Multiplayer should work (everyone needs the mod) but is untested on dedicated servers.
- Finishers kill and launch instead of playing the original finisher animations.
